Just put the drivers side together. I think it looks really good with the reflective tape in there. So i know its good to go for the daytime, now i just gotta see what it looks like after dark to see if i continue on this path, or just say screw it and buy plexiglass thats red all the way through. I got a pic of it with my old crappy phone that dont work in the slot. Heres a few more pics. I'll get one of it lit up after dark and post it. I hope everybody is doing good!

I just got a few pics as it got dark here in florida. I guess its pretty decent. One added benefit i notice is that the lights dont have to be on at all and i can shine a flashlight at it and the letters will shine. I think it will work so im gonna go ahead with the passenger side next weekend and then start on the overhead switchbox with the 12volt cig lighter things for phone charging. Im gonna make some shims to put inside the light boxes that will help press the plexiglass all the way to the front also. Theres a slight gap that sometimes lets you see a few of the l.e.d. bulbs if youre at the right angle. I should probably just get 3/16" plexiglass and that would probably cure that problem. Heres a couple of pics.

Looks good BC and it's glowing. Caulk that gap with a paintable caulk, you can always peel it off later if you had to.

I did get black silicon for any light escaping gaps that i may see from the drivers seat, but i havent used any yet because im not done sliding them in and out while still finishing it. Good suggestion.

That is one incredibly fine job @Bastardchild , you have both talent, and a sharp looking machine. Worthy of a Multi-post in my opinion.

Thank you mudder, i appreciate it. I think i almost got in over my head with the roof build but i guess i pulled it off lol. I actually was just logging in to post pics of the passenger side backing plate i finished today. I have a feeling this machine will never be finished. Everytime i mess with it i think of something else i wanna do to it. I think after this roof is finished im making an overhead switch box for 4 or 5 switches and a couple of 12 volt cigarrette lighters so the phone can be charged if im playing music from it via bluetooth to my future stereo system. The stereo and speaker install will be another thread when i do it. Anyway, sorry about yakking lol. Heres some pics of todays progress. I will try to get a pic or 2 after dark also if the wife aint wanting to go out tonight and i get home too late lol

Yeah that sounds like a good idea mudder. Before i welded the little pieces of aluminum angle on there to hold the phones, i was thinking of getting the plastic phone dry boxes that you get at walmart in the hunting or fishing isle and riveting the boxes to the aluminum visor plates. I finally decided to do it the way i did though. Partly so i could be a little artistic so to speak, and partly because im cheap! I already had the aluminum angle lol. Anyway, heres some pics i just took at almost dark. I think it will do. Next step is building the overhead switch box when i get time. I will create another thread for that. Take it easy yall!
