Oh my !!!
Both my Choogboxes came in today.
I had to show them off.

These boxes are crazy solid and precisely welded all the way around.

Any of you on the fence about getting one, DO IT!
You won't doubt it's worth, after seeing it firsthand.
Better than heavy duty!

Thanks @Chooglin Feels like you made it especially for Blueberry to last forever!

Totally agree. Love that piano hinge. I bet Chooglin could sell these to dealers across the country and quit his day job. We'd see pics of him riding his P5 at Key Largo!

Hey @Chooglin
The glove box arrived in today’s mail, Thanks Joe
Your post on installing [HASHTAG]#165[/HASHTAG] was spot on, I did make a few changes which are a little faster than cutting out using a utility knife.
First I scribed a line 1/2 inch from lip as you suggested
Then I drilled a starting hole near one corner
Using a fine tooth metal jig saw blade held in vise grips I cut along the scribed line
Cleaned up with utility knife, file, sanding drum
Thanks again for the making the glove box

I think I reduced image size and therefore quality a little too much as these photos do not look that great, but the glove box does.

Glad you are happy with it and the install looks great.

Great idea using the jigsaw blade with vice grips , I hadn't thought of that !

when will you be installing it ?
Well, it's for my buddy's ride @TR1 (Yellow Jacket) Christmas lol. But I'll have mine in his shop mid January for full skids, front guard, shackle mount, new doors install, and a few other incidentals, I imagine we'll do his glove box then.

That's why I have so much gray hair (HaHa)... Been there, done that, have scars to prove it from broken blades, and other mishaps, etc, etc.
My dad always told me..."Experience is a great teacher, if you can survive it" - Now being able to be playing the back nine is my reward for surviving it (and hopefully gaining experience that I can share along the way so others will be able to play their back nine as well). Great glove box, thanks again.

Installing... I used a jigsaw and the "two sharpie" method. Lol.

Just be sure to measure for yourself before you cut into the dash.
Hole should be NO WIDER than 6.5" at its widest point, across the bottom.

Basically set the distance between the black and grey tips on the sharpies the same as the lip around the box.
Then run the black tip up in and around the pattern on the dash where the box should go. (Around the outside of the warning label area). It's easy lines to follow, the dash around the warning label is etched / molded.

The grey line becomes the "cut here" line.

Works like a scribe.

*** But re-MEASURE for yourself BEFORE you cut anything. 6.5" is the widest line you should cut across the bottom. Mine was exactly 6.5.

If 2 sharpies are too wide, sub the black sharpie for a common pencil to shorten that rim length up.

Remember you can always cut a little more, but never add it back.

I wanted to showcase how well Choogin designed the box to fit the layout of the dash. Excellent.

First off , thanks to everyone who had the confidence in me ,to purchase one of the "Choogboxes" (that's the new name for the boxes now) I like it !!

I have 1 more box available and I will be Sold Out. I will be starting on another 25 boxes after Christmas, so these should be available in 3-4 weeks , if you want one !

Again , thanks everyone and you all have a Merry Christmas and be safe out there

Thanks
Joe
