P500 P500 headlights from a P1000

Has anyone personally installed the P1000 headlights into the P500?
I know the wiring is different but mainly want to know if the lens housings will fit?

If i remember right, they will fit.

The headlights on the 1000 and the 700 are the same part number but I think the 500 are different, but I thought I saw something on you tube where someone did it

@JSPEED did it a couple years ago. Sorry, tried to find the thread but can't, don't even know if he's a member anymore? It worked but you had to hack up the plastics to make it work. Looked cool when it was done but my concerns were with the protection on the backside so I never went for it.
