P500 Pioneer 500 as a Golf Cart

Hello everyone!

Big fan of trail riding but also golfing. We want to get a Pioneer 500 and add mods so we can use it both as a golf cart and as a trail rider. We've been talking to the golf course management and they won't allow us to use the P500 as a golf cart, despite having the same dimensions, weight, a decibels of a modern gas golf cart.

Does anyone here use the P500 as a golf cart?

Hello and I gotta hand it to ya for trying but the locked rear differential will tear up the course when you make turns. Good luck.

Haven't seen that mod but it may be possible.

With 26" Bighorns mine would tear up a golf course faster than Carl Spackler.

I believe the 1000 has a "turf mode" that unlocks the diff.

Locked rear end would tear the hell out of a golf course. Unlocking rear differential mod has been done but doesn't function as you'd think, makes operation pretty dangerous on such a small machine. We take ours to the campground and it's way louder than a golf cart. Can't say I blame the golf course management at all for not entertaining that idea.
