How did u adjust it ......? Measure distance between tires or ?
To make it easier, I cut a stick (1"x1 1/2"x??) It was fifty something inches long.
I was able to put the stick between the rims (under the pioneer from left wheel to right wheel) in front and then in back. (3:00 and 9:00 positions)
You might use the tire instead but I thought the rim would be more precise.
With my stick (gage), I was able to tell that I had 1" difference front to back.
I turned the tie rod until I got it equal in front and back, then tightened the jam nut.
I had to re-orient my steering wheel after I got the alignment.

Don't be afraid of it. Hope this helps.

I Gaines 3 inches. You may have to pass on these and get a set that is "more used". I would love to sell these to you but I don't think you could fit if your running short on height.
You dont happen to still have these do you?

I just got a 18 p700 4 deluxe

Don't forget that the pioneer 1ooo shocks will also fit the 7oo's and improvements all the way around. Seems easier to find the pioneer 1ooo shocks and don't forget RB3OFFROAD sells the machined sleeves for the swap which I believe work on both the commander and pioneer 1ooo shocks.

So what's the word so ce you guys have had plenty of time testing. Which is better the 1000 shocks or the comander shocks. Do the 1000 shocks provide the same lift?

Honestly not sure. From everything I've read the 1l shocks are a great improvement over 700 stocks. No way I was going to give my commanders up way toooooo good.

Complete nubie here though I've had my pioneer 700-4 since 2014.

I would also like to upgrade the shocks all around and do not want to pay the Fox shock cost so read up on the commander. P/N 706000782 and 706000615. Will these work on my 2014?

I feel the stock ones will be plenty unless you are carrying ALOT.of extra weight.
By stock do you mean that you can keep the stock honda springs or should you replace those springs with the commander springs?

Not Sure the stock Springs will work on the Commander shocks.

Those part numbers are just the internal shock cylinders, you will still need the springs, retainers and adjusters to make a complete set. I picked up a used set off ebay with the hopes they would work. My cylinders (your part numbers) are shot, so my setup is still setting on the shelf trying to figure out what my next step is. Like everyone else, I don't believe the honda springs will fit on the commander shocks because the cylinders are quite abit bigger on the commander.

Bought one of these when they first came out in 14 and thought it rode much better than the Honda Rancher we traded up from but after a while it started to seem rougher than it should especially after riding in our YXZ1000R we bought this year! I found a set of 4 non-external reservoir shocks from a Polaris 900 for $150 on craigslist and picked them up. The fronts mounted right up with just spreading the lower mount apart a little bit and they have dual rate springs! I had to change out the collars on the rears because the bolts were bigger but they too bolted right up...problem being the spring rate is way too soft and it bottomed way to easy so I went back to the stock rear shocks. So just FYI the fronts bolt right up and it rides 100 times better!

Hey guys, what is the value of a full set of commander shocks with bushings already converted for the 700?

I would say the upgrade would be worth $200 to $300 If they are in great shape then the top end of that #

Does anyone know if the Can-Am Outlander Shocks are the same as the Commander shocks?

A friend has a set of Can am shocks but he isn't sure what they are off of. Is there a part number on the shock itself? If so are these the part numbers 706200782 and 706000615 ? Here is a pic of them. Looks like spacers on them too.

It’s definitely worth doing. The ride is a lot better. I got my shocks from a guy on the commander forum. Join it and go in the WTB for sale section and make a post.
