I have a 2015, sanded the engine and trannie, 4000.00 to rebuild. 1000 miles. Lots of dust in eastern oregon. I snorkeled the air intake, ran the intake tubes up behind my head. Put a uni filter sock on each snorkel tube, they work as a pre filter. Dual uni filter in the air box. The stock air intake is right above the drivers rear fender and has to be the poorest intake placement ever seen. My friends 700’s have a similar set up. The 1000’s have the intake up front under the hood, like my buddies Yamaha, where it should be. I built the snorkel out of 2” pvc from the box behind the drivers seat and went up with two 1 1/2 pvc pipes. If you are running in a high dust areas, snorkel your 500 or 700, or pay the piper!
Is that from submerging, or mud, or did these components just fail?I had to change my vote... front diff seal started leaking so I’m replacing it. So v
that’s 2 diff seals and a cooling fan I have had to replace. Not bad considering what it’s been through...

Every bearing in the trannie, new crank, rod, head, piston, rings valves etc + labor, I know I wrote the check.Pics or it didn't happen...
Had to change my vote: The little micro switch under the 'upshift' paddle failed about 10 miles after I posted. Was about $75 for the switches- they come as a set, and pretty much 'plug-n-play' Took about 15 minutes to change. The little metal arm broke off. If I had been far from home- I was in my driveway when it happened- I could have popped the cover off the paddles and still used the switch enough to get me home. 2156 miles to date.Just about 2000 miles and two years old now. ZERO Honda related failures. It just starts and runs the same as the day I bought it. Every time.
