I cannot say enought about the added pleasure with power steering. Locker helps in the rough stuff, but power steering is enjoyed every time you drive it around the yard or on the trail, locker or not. Drive one handed, spin the wheel with the palm of your hand. If Honda equipped it on the on the P500 as a $500 factory option it would sell better after test drives. Really changes the feel of the machine. IMO.

Here is a partial list of can't live without for my P5, there is more put I lost interest in keeping track. I haven't put power steering or lockers on mine so that keep my cost down a lot.

I know I've forgotten stuff. Jeez quick to get to $4500.

Power steering is my favorite mod so far! I didn’t think I needed it until I actually got it!

The torque locker is next in line.

Biggest waste of money was the Tusk half +2 windshield. It’s flimsy as all get out

So tell me those of you that have added the power steering, after much use it it holding up well or what issues have you had with them? Also is the install straight forward of is it a 2 hours job that turns into a couple days?
Bought the cheapest one on e-bay, installed it. (2017 I think) Not a single problem from that day forward. I abuse it horribly. In hindsight, I'm amazed it still works. If it does fail, I would replace it with the same unit without question. The install is very easy. 2hrs no problem. I believe every one on the market is built by the same company and then sold with some retailers stickers- but I haven't looked at them lately- haven't needed to.

Exactly! Well said. I know it shouldn't surprise me, but it just makes me shake my head in disbelief every year when I see Honda still hasn't offered any mechanical options to the P-500/520 line up. They truly don't get it.

It's been a year since this post was last looked at - Thought it needed a bump so new members could get an idea of how affordable this hobby is ;)o_O:cool:
Hey @Mudder , with three members polling at $10,000 you might need to add $11k and $12k to the poll.
Don’t get a 1000! 😂
