Please look P500 - P500 Summit heater install before you by summit heater, you wot have space in the cabin, it will fit only under hood area, BUT, you loose that space, the heater is way too high output and your P500 wont keep up with heat generation , under-hood area also has colder air then cabin, summit is bigger by dimensions, I've "ate dog" with it, means I've tried/researched both summit and aquahot, and aquahot in cabin is the best option.

Ok, so you installed the Summit, didn't like it, took it out and then installed the aqua hot???

Exactly. You proceed with either option you want. I opt to save underhood space for gear storage.

Thanks solrus, I have all the storage I need and with a full windshield, it's too much trouble getting under the hood. So since that's not a factor for me, in your opinion, would the Summit do me better? Which one installs easier? One more point, I have a hard roof and full windshield but will do no more to enclose the cabin. I'm in Oklahoma/Arkansas, not extremely cold here.

Sorry, was looking over my thread and found that I did not reply :), just poke me next time , I must got exhausted after that heater install

So, to answer you question , since no doors then you dont need heater at all. Might consider that propane mr heater gold cart heater, but not stationary like I did. It does not make tremendous heat to keep up with no doors.

Wow, I must be missing something? How cold do you guys get? I used my Honda fourtrax for over 28 years hunting with snow on ground, just dressed appropriately, was always comfortable with face mask. Now with 1000 deluxe can not imagine needing any heater in winter, most guys are b****ing about too much heat?

I have full Honda pioneer 500 cab , so speak, but there is no limit for comfort :) , so heater was pita to install but nice feature, we get minus 20-30, and freaking windy and after walk or work it's nice to warm up inside the cabin.

Well minus 20-30 would get my attention while hunting, definitely freeze up my camper plumbing so no hot shower, that would suck. Did not know it gets that cold in Montana? Good luck, really like Montana.
