Well i got everything put together except for the front brake calipers. Yes it rubs on tight turns. I think downsizing from 1.5" spacers to 1" might help a little maybe, but i will be thinking about forward a-arms. I gotta get ready to shower and go to dinner with friends so heres a few pics. I put my fat ass in a couple of pics for scale, im 5'7".

Nice work BC! That thing is a monster! How's the ride? :D
Trigger all ive done is ease it around the yard in first gear. Ive got the front brakelines folded over and double ziptied with no calipers on the front end right now. I do realize that it does take more effort to steer now. Its not light steering like before, but not unmanageable either. Ive not aligned the front end yet either. I just eyeballed it and got it ballpark. Tomorrow im gonna align the front end perfectly, that may help. Im also gonna try to dig into the brake rotor problem and try to figure something out.

Did you have to make any major modifications to make these fit? Did you have to buy and extra parts beside what came with the portals? ( Hubs steering such stuff like that)

No major problems at all as far as the portals bolting up. Rears bolted on perfectly. Fronts bolted on, but the top balljoint hole needs to be reamed out a little on the portal hub backing plate because i cant quite get the castle nut on enough to put the cotter pin through the castle nut. Same thing with the holes for where the steering balljoints plug in. The brake caliper will bolt to the tabs on the front of the portal hubs, however, the brake rotor that they provide with the portal hubs do not center thereselves between the brakepads inside the caliper, so im going to have to make spacers or something. Also, the brakelines are now too short, but im going to see if the 700 brake lines will work today. Thats one of the things im going to mess with today. Im going to pull my wifes P700 front brake caliper off of hers today and mount it to the portal to see if the rotor centers up inside of the 700 caliper. I thought the P5 and P7 calipers were identical, but maybe i was wrong. I know that i swapped the calipers from one machine to the other when i was researching to see if this was possible, and they did fit, but maybe i didnt put the rotors on when i did the swap and i missed something. I will report what i find out later today.

It was 61 1/2" wide from the outside edge of one wheel to the outside edge of the other wheel before i had the tires mounted. Its probably a couple inches wider now to the outside bubble edge of the tires. I will post an exact measurement once i align it. I was running around today and didnt get a lot of time in today messing with it.

I messed with the brake calipers today flipping rotors around and putting the 700-4 calipers on it just to double check myself. The P5 and 700-4 calipers and hubs are definetly the exact same. The 700-4 brake line will work in an emergency, but im gonna get with @jak9922 as @Neohio suggested and have him make me a couple of brakelines when i get an exact measurement i want. I was communicating with the machinest that made these today and he came to the conclusion that i didnt get some 1/2" spacers that i was supposed to get, that spaces the caliper closer to the rotor. He came to that conclusion though after i texted him a bunch of pictures of what was wrong, and after not hearing from him for awhile i just told him i was gonna start building a 1/2" spacer to get the caliper over the rotor. When i got the spacer built for the drivers side he texted me back and said, "oh yeah im gonna send you some 1/2" spacers out monday". Lol i texted him a pic of the one i just finished and told him i'll be waiting on them. I had to make it out of a 3/8" piece of plate and a 1/8" piece of plate stacked together. I didnt have any 1/2" plate. I had to get longer metric bolts from the local ace hardware. They are 12mm x 45mm x 1.25 pitch. They were too long but its all they had. I ended up shortening them to 1 3/8" and they worked perfect. Im sure his will look much more professional than mine. But i'll build the other side tomorrow and that will get me rolling around the house with brake lines borrowed from the wifes 700-4. Her 700-4 is down for a bit getting a bunch of stuff powdercoated at a shop in gainesville. Alright, ive yacked enough. Heres a couple of pics to show you what i was talking about.

Got to take her for a spin today! I was itching to go through this long muddy ditch by my house but i was all alone and i didnt want to risk getting stuck and not have anybody to pull me out. Ive got the pioneer 700-4 brakelines on the front and they are about stretched to the max. I need to order some 28" long brakelines from @jak9922. If yall want to see a walkaround video and a short ride check out my youtube channel, its 'phukdupmudclub'.

Hey @jak9922, i sent you a message about a couple of brakelines i need. I dont know if i sent it private, or public, or whatever. Its a 'profile post' whatever that is. I think a couple of 28" long brakelines would be about right for these portals i got on here. Get back with me when you get a chance buddy. Thanks!

Nice work BC! That's ambition and time right there. Gotta love it when you do it yourself and have the satisfaction that there's not another one like it. "500 watt amp in a tupperware thang", now that's some funny sh**! Have you had it top end yet, slower, faster?
