P500 Post your rear rack or box. Pics.

These are from a couple of years a go but just saw this thread and figured I would add some pics. I cut a piece of HDPE plastic (1/2 inch) to be just a bit larger than the rear rack. Then, I put some of the L track on the edges so that I could tie the gear down. Then added some red skateboard tape to keep everything from sliding around. It worked very well and provided a lot of flexibility for whatever I needed to haul.

For anyone not yet started on attaching boxes, etc. to P500 racks, consider the single bolt conduit clamps. Place bolt on each outer side of tube for easy underneath nut access.

I remember that set-up Mudder, but I came across the U-bolts before I made it across the barn to where the conduit hardware was. That and the U-bolts were stainless steel. The conduit clamps are a really good option!

Built this rack after I bought my 500 last year. My neighbor liked it so much I built him one also. Held these two deer pretty well.

How about one of these. You just need to get a 1 1/4" to 2" adaptor for the hitch.

Debone in field, pack out to P5 and have the largest cooler you could fit on the bottom? Maybe raise the top and make it so you could lift the lid on the cooler so not having to lift it when full (an Rx for a hernia!). Gear gets strapped on top.

What I like about yours for hunting vs. mine is you can get a large cooler on it. My Dusty Dawg is first for our dog, second for hunting. But I can’t get a large cooler into the lower area.

Had this basket made so box from Tractor Supply (on sale) would fit. Modified to attach rear lights. Then made tailgate extension so could carry cooler.

I'll pics when I get it mounted next weekend, but I ordered the Moose Utiilty rear basket today. Walls are taller than I wanted, but the Strongmade was absurdely smaller than the rack. I think it'll work out fine!

This box was on my P500 when I bought it. We took it off and made a bed. It is painted particle board with some type of plastic over the top. Has a lock. Fit the rack perfect. If anyone is near me and interested you can have it. I'm near Harrisonburg, VA. Also travel to our property frequently between Brandywine and Franklin, West Virginia.

Don’t remember if I posted images of mine I used a Justrite spill tray. 47” wide x 33” long by 5.5” deep. Used U bolts to afix to rack, drilled a 1” hole in drivers rear corner and installed a boat drain plug. Very light incredibly strong, excellent for my needs.

I found this aluminum pickup bed extender at the dump’s metal recycling container. In like-new condition.

After seeing it was a little too narrow to build a brush guard on my P5, I gave it to my hunting partner who mounted it on his. Fit like it was meant for the purpose. First use today.

New, they’re under $200 online.

I’m not sure. If you measure from the outsides of the lower rack frame, I’m sure you can find one that fits. Or watch Craigslist, etc. Or ‘dumpster dive’ and swallow your pride!
