I have a 2020 1000-5 LE , want to put 28-10-14 either bfg or tusk terabytes on 14x7 rims all the same offset. I think I’m reading 5 plus two is equivalent for the fronts , but the rear axle is narrower ? So is anyone know how much ? Spacers in the rear only ? And also has anyone tried just cranking a little out of the oem fox shocks for a 28” tall tire ? Thanks for any info

This... that way you can swap/ rotate your wheels and not worry especially if your out on a trail and need to. Good luck, and pics or it didn’t happens

Yeah that was my plan , to keep a front as a spare and use these. Or buy 5 haven’t decided yet. What about rubbing issues ? I’ve heard guys just cranking coils down about 1/2” equals about an inch of lift ? Don’t wanna lift it to much.

Ok, so here’s what I did... I bought 5 wheels and tire (sold the stock D Lux wheels and tires) wheels had a 5+2 offset, tires are 28 - 10- 14 with and 1 1/2” wheel spacer from @RB3offroad on the rear, after installing I gained about 2” in height and about 1 1/2” in width over stock. I do have a bit of a rub when wheel is cranked all the way and suspension is compressed, because I have the 1/2” trail armor full skid plate, but it’s not enough to bother me right now so roll on.

You only spacered the back? Or all four ? I’m trying to not increase the track width. I thought 5+2 was stock offset for the front. Just want a little better taller tire.

If you go 5+2 you only spacer the rear 1” or you can do 1.5”, no spacer on front. Your width will grow as the tires are going to be wider then the stock fronts when you go to a taller tire.

Ridinfool With 1.5” spacers on the rear is your track close to the front ? Wider narrower ? Just trying to get all my ducks in a row. Also general tire question, I’m looking at either the tusk terabytes or bfg mud terrains. Bfg weighs 5.2lbs more per tire, anyone have opinions? How bad is my power about to get robbed with 28” tires on beadlocks ? Thanks for all the reply’s so far. Probably going with the tusks as there lighter cheaper and Dot rated , moving to Utah where this is worth something.

Alright so I just ordered 14x7 tusk beadlocks (matte black uinita) 5+2 offset , 28/10-14 tusk terrabyte tires and 1.5” spacers (rear only) and spline lug nuts for my 1000-5 le from Rocky Mountain atv , there fitment guys say they show this to fit no issues. I’m ok with cranking down the fox shocks a little bit don’t want to over extend or bump up my ride. I went with the 8 ply terabytes over the 10 ply based on weight and ride , also over the BFG muds based on weights (6.2lbs per tire ) and the terabytes have a rim guard. Looks better on beadlocks. Also ordered a k and n filter , mines due to be replaced soon anyways. Did I miss anything ? Let me know if I did. I’ll post pics this week putting it all together.

K&N filters suck on ATV/UTV applications. Stick with the stock paper element filters. You'll have no issues with 28" Terrabytes as they run a bit small; great tires though. I have just over 1200 miles on my 30's and they still have great tread.

I’d disagree with you on the k&n filters. Have them on every atv and dirt bike I’ve owned over the last 30 years. If cleaned and oiled properly (key word) they work better than oem and let a little more air in. Never had an issue and I ride desert / forest and occasional sand. No mudding/swamping for me personally so I can’t attest to that.
Glad to hear someone has the terabytes and likes them. The people at RMAtV said they measure 27.2 with 15psi so that’s about a full inch bigger then my oem 27” tires. Hopefully it all works out. Thanks for the tire review.

So the bighorns measure about 25.6 inches with 14 psi with weight on them , but off vehicle are almost true 27. (These have 200 miles on them) next to my new 28” tusk terrabites with 10psi (off vehicle ) they are barely taller. On vehicle with 10psi they measure 26.5. So for what it’s worth they are taller but not a true 28. I doubt they will rub , if they do it will only be under full compression and at that point I’ll adjust my spring preload. Now for the other three tires ....

Hard to tell from the pic but it’s for sure leaning hard on the oem side after I moved it. Sweet.

So my rear spacers came today , the 1.5” , and now my rear track is 1” wider than my front. I know on my atvs we always set it up 1/2” narrower in the rear so it would slide in corners easier. Is this an issue with the pioneers ? With the rear track being wider will it snow plow in tight corners ? Eat my loss and order some 1” spacers ? Thanks
