It's a blast! I dreamed of visiting AK for almost 25 years. When I got a chance to move up here, I jumped. I'm on a fairly small Island, (compared to Kodiak, Prince of Whales, etc.), but there are miles of trails to ride. Terrain ranges from beaches to swamps to mountains, so there is something for everybody. Getting to AK is easy, just load up the truck and head in a northwesterly direction. If the Clampetts could get to Beverly Hills in a 1921 Oldsmobile, surely you can find your way here. Ha! If you make it, I'll be sure to give you a tour.

If I had known how awesome it was up here, I would have made the trek years ago. Best decision I ever made. Thank God that I have an awesome wife who indulged my "mid-life" crisis. Ha!

It's a boy! He's our first. We have been trying for 11-12 years. Went though fertility treatments, 3 failed adoptions, the whole deal. When the wife turned 35 in November, she decided we weren't going to have any kids, and we could live as "semi-retirees". Within a month, she found out she was pregnant. God has a good sense of humor.
