While I congratulate you on your purchase of Ripsaws, I am a little confused about your statement that they are not available in 27". I have a set, and they are wonderful. You should be pleased.

Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot about having to go to 14" rims to get the 27" tires. To answer your question on performance, it's about like a puppy and a dinosaur. Ha! I gained almost 2" in ground clearance, it feels like I put power steering on it, & the 11" wide front tires float over the mud, without digging in. It did widen me out about 3.75", but I can still fit down the existing 4-wheeler trails. When I'm on pavement, the tires track straight, and don't "side roll" when cornering. Also, in spite of the aggressive tread design, they ride smoothly. I'm totally sold on them. Have not regretted buying them for a second.

They also run very close to stated size. Actual diameter is 26.875", and actual width is over 10.750". This is mounted on 14"x7" wheels.

I think you will be very pleased. In fact, if I were to change anything, it would be to drop down to 26" diameter. There's not much clearance with the 27"s. I didn't have to do the frame mod, but it's close enough to make me wonder. I haven't "rubbed" yet, & probably won't, but I only have about a half inch to play with.

Well i cant really say that for stockers they have held up pretty good considering they are the same as the rancher 420 stock and i have never had a flat "knock on wood"

I have 26's ripsaws & they go good in mud & up loose rocky steep climbs here in eastern Kentucky. They're also good for the off camber hill climbs good stiff sidewalls.

hossman55 is right. The stiffer sidewalls are a real plus to the handling of the machine. Ripsaws aren't as popular as some other tires, but everyone who has a set up here in AK swears by them. They have given me everything I asked for, and more. I know of 3 other rigs on the island who are running them, and have heard nothing but good about them.
