I worry about the suspension being uncompressed and the weight shifting because of that. Figured for the price of new straps which I needed anyway, I could try these out and I’d real world see how it does.

I've been using them for over a year and I love them. Not once have I had one come loose or anything. Best way to strap down IMHO!

Or a spare tire mount

Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Cage is staying the way it is for forseable future.

Gonna make some storage that will go behind the rear seats with them up AND hold a tire, FAT50 first aid kit and 20qt cooler.

Full bed storage later for overnight trips with a 2 Person tent (WIFE) and sleeping platform. Clamps will come into play on this one.

Going to cross brace the front suspension since some people who ride hard have had issues with A-Arm tabs.

Where I had the pod lights mounted either side of the light bar was worthless. I saw several people with them mounted behind the B pillar and some as far back as the C pillar. I pulled my 7” rear light bar off and freed up a circuit that was almost never used and I mounted them off the rear seatbelt bracket. They work better here I may upgrade the lights themselves later.

Wow these things are great! The XLs cover all the way out to the edge of my tires even with the spacers installed. (I picked up a 1” set from @Dragon21 for the front because the inner beadlocks we’re rubbing and a 2” set from @Mudd_Man for the rear to even it out.

I honestly didn’t think the spacers would make that much of a difference stability wise but after taking the same off camber trail without them and then with them the very next day it did in fact make the machine more stable.

Also makes it a TIGHT fit on my trailer so there’s a dark side.

I wanted to drop the lightbar and clean up the front of the machine to make it easier to see close in on technical trails. The through the hood snorkel forced me to have the lightbar mounted higher and more forward than I wanted to be able to get the hood off.

I grabbed some flex intake duct and bulkhead fittings and ran the intake through the right front fender. The fitting and snorkel on top of the fender is temporary until I weld up a new snorkel so it sits more level and is braced off the ROPS since it’s so close to the side.

With this setup I dropped the lightbar to about ⅛” off the bumper and, ⅜” off the hood using the weldable clamps. It gets it down and as out of the way as I can and still remove the hood. It also doesn’t shake like before and should be a more stable mount for the VIRB.

I really want a GOOD 18” lightbar that will sit right down on the upper bumper bar but I’ll save that for another day.

My powder showed up a few mins ago so I can get the all the mounts and a couple other things power coated tomorrow.

The powder coat did alright but I think the mini oven I was using did not maintain a good even temp. Some of the black are glossy when they should be a wrinkle finish and the red didn’t wrinkle at all, meaning they didn’t do what the rest did. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please share. This was my first rodeo. I think I have found a $25 CList oven to use for powdercoat.
