Did a install of 2 eagle eye LEDs. The LEDs are fine and put out great light. The problem is there's not a really good place to mount them that I can find.

Here's what I did, here's what it would look like pitch black

9618bae3115951d661a1f420f1341ea8Df0b68f1de8f84cb1a4e27baf65ad288305d87c54e4975ad3623a78ed45a39be168a41a71bb8782ec2a893bcd8e9e7651dec2233d78a62b4caece2769efdb599E043d823e2e8907034f1717f46800eae

Also just wanted to report a interesting finding. 30 inch intimidators sidewall is thick enough to stand with NO stem valve. I tried to deflate because there's 5 inches of snow in the driveway and I can't fit in my garage anymore. To my surprise, letting all the air out did nothing. Maybe a half inch at the most. Out came the shovel, and I wish I had a pick instead. It was basically ice. Anyways, double beadlocks would have been the way to go. If you popped you could have limped out even without a patch kit.

Sorry buddy I just caught this lol.
For rock lights, if your doing them for help on trail rather then looks and I'm assuming you are because of the white, you'll want them placed as far out as possible so the lighting reaches past the tires. We mounted on the very edges of the fender flairs. It's much easier to wipe off in mud as well.

I'm doing them because I've had axle problems and brake line problems in the middle of the dark ( in Alaska that means winter) with only a cellphone for light. My plan is to flip a switch and have light for repairs. Not really for seeing the rocks under my skidplate or showboating.

Also I'm working on dome lighting. Word of wisdom. There is such a thing as too cheap. I went on Amazon and ordered a crap ton of 12v LEDs. Then ordered the sleeves for them. Buy the fancy sleeves. The cheap ones are pure junk. I got 4 LEDs under the dash and they are great. Gonna do led strips on the middle roll cage pointing forwards and back to illuminate the whole cab. I was originally planning on making a false roof that hung level with the roll cage and just do a bunch of LEDs in rows. Too much work. Led strips cost like 8 bucks.

Ya sometimes with the cheap strips and single lights I've actually ordered a couple different things at once to check and make sure. Stuff like that I'll rarely buy a ton without testing it for myself there's some cheap stuff and sometimes some people like certain things and others don't.
I've liked having rock lighting for various repairs the is a benefit

They don't have white anymore, so use a different seller

If I could do it over I would recommend the strip lights. It's just not worth it. Individual leds are good for some things but even light is not one of them. Just easier to use strip lights, and cheaper

I wired an LED rock light onto my ceiling. Here is what I got.

AMBER Auto Interior LED Lights - Super Bright ROCK LIGHT CREE PODs by SUITECH - Under Vehicle Cars Interior and Exterior 4X4 Trucks Car ATV SUV Jeep Boat 4wd ATV Motorcycle - Waterproof Shockproof - - Amazon.com

I got amber because it saves my night vision a bit. I only used one, dead center of the roof and it works well. Im very pleased with it. Some folks may like more light though. I'll try to snag a pic and post it.
I'll bet using a rock light puts out a great spread for you. Good idea!

That looks good. Amber will be nice for not attracting bugs too!

That looks great! I am gonna go with white because I already have white, and also (insert generic racial joke here)

I just got my heater core mocked up. Got my lines cut and t's installed. Bought 12' of heater hose. Needed 16'. So now I have 4' of waste. Lame.

Also, Amazon has these bars on sale. I paid 32 for mine. Now they are 12. I had one for a long time. Not the best for driving light, but for camping it's the best because you can have your rig off for like a half hour before you have to recharge the wimpy little battery. They won't ship to Alaska.

I like the amber idea.

I went with 12 LED strip lights in red, in order to preserve night vision.

2 will be pointing towards the floor, and one on the front rollbar angled up and towards the cab.

Yea red would've been even better but for some reason I couldn't get the rock light in red. They have a ton of colors, must've been out that day. How did yours turn out?

Mine should be on next week. Went with white rock lights.

Just trying to figure out where to put them.
