@Montecresto

Well, I'm still in the cyphering stage. Tap dancing around a commitment until after the holiday. The Mrs has hinted at a prolonged and protracted psychological warfare campaign if I spend any more $$$ on the P5. The dog and I, having born the brunt of her ire on the couch before, have decided to lean on discretion as the better part of valor and wait until Jan before I order anything else...

I did manage to "procure" an item or two before I was banned from the internet. I'll post my success in another thread.

Still considering the Sedona's as Course of action #1.

Having experienced similar repercussions myself in the early years of matrimony, I'm quite cognisant of the hazards involved in such matters. I'm satisfied that time and empiricism will rule the day, and your P5 will be shod in the shoes of your predilection.

+1 for the 26" Bearclaw HTR's. Awesome tires at a good price. If I was doing a LOT more pavement riding, I would have gone with the ripsaws as they seem to be extremely tough. But heavy..

Bearclaw HTR's

OK I just boosted this from your other "Post" .

- 26" Bearclaw HTR's
- Front: 9" wide
- Rear: 11" wide
- 8-ply tire, radial construction

I'm actually kicking around going 11" on all four corners.

That's what I'm running. Seems the most recurrent size for the P5.

Btw @ChungasRevenge, in the event that you didn't know it, the P5's speedometer isn't accurate with the stock 24's but it is with the 26's.

I am pretty sure I'm going to stay at 26". Just cant decide on 9" and 11" on stock rims or 11" on all four corners.
So my 2 pesos, the main stated reason I've seen that guys run 11" all the way around is so that one spare fits all. But bear in mind that without power steering the P5's a hard steer already, more surface equals increased friction, and even tighter steering.

fer' sure...I like the one size including spare option..
Then run 11's all the way around and tell mama you need to do a power steering mod, it's only 6 Franklins and it won't consign you to the davenport. :D

I decided to go with 9" wide all around. I've been very happy with this setup. I have rotated my tires once already. I think being able to rotate them should help them last quite a bit longer. Others here have gone 11" wide all around, and are happy with that. I didn't want the extra weight and steering effort, and possible clearance issues. And I do not feel like I need the extra flotation of the 11". And the only time i've gotten stuck with these tires I was doing something that I definitely should not have done!!!
