The history of the place is actually hard to find, but the main house seems to have been constructed in the 1930's, and was powered (in later years, at least) via generator...

Just outside the main house was a set of stairs leading down...
It lead to an in-ground cellar that might have been 60 on this low 90's day...
Flies and gnats were INSANE around this place.
Some things nearby...
Not sure what this was. Dates 1937 and 1919.
Nearby rock looked a bit like an altar, and even had a cross for good measure...
Even found a mule deer shed...
It was for sale at one point:

Trails were a blown out muddy puddle filled mess.it was perfect,except for the wicked long hail storm.i had to run in 4wd most of the time.2 wd was all over the road.

From the nose bleed seats -
When it's >90* in Denver, it's <65* up here -
No way I could ride this on the dirt bike, don't have the skills (or youth) -

Talon don't need no locker -
Off road is strictly forbidden here (like many places) so this is a stopper. When it's warm enough, I might fall through the crust and without a shovel (yet), I'd be screwed.
So this is a stopper for now.
Bottom draggin' rock ledge that I crawled right up - gotta luv me sum 1/2" Trail Armor skid.

They call 'em the ROCKY Mountains for a reason, I was bouncing around like a marble in a 3 pound coffee can.
My first rides were much smoother and resulted in ~20 mpg, yesterday was 12.28 mpg over 32 miles and almost 4 hours.

Decided to hit the 108 mile snowmobile/cross country ski trail system.this area is as fun as it looks.the speed you can run is dictated by the size of your balls.mancard intact.the trails run for 100's of kilometers in every direction.extra gas is mandatory, getting hopelessly lost is a given.the open fields are a blast,and yes,a p1k can jump.more to come after I eat some lunch.
