@Plumber32 @Adam490 @Bad_bowtie
Day 1 of the family/kids ride. Nothing but easy trails. Eternal Flame, Laco Overlook, Standing Stone and Cave Branch Trail. @Bad_bowtie broke a front axle and bent a tie rod coming down Cave Branch Trail. Took about a hour+ to get tie rod replaced due to being in such a bad spot. Went 10 minutes down the trail and @Bad_bowtie broke his other front axle, bent the other tie rod and busted off the tie rod end. We had to leave his machine overnight due to not having parts.

I thought I had both tie rod ends with me but only had the drivers side and we needed the passenger side. I need to go back over my trail parts and tools because I've slowly robbed stuff and not replaced them. I make sure I have plenty of common parts at home so I don't have to depend on a dealer for quick partsGreat photos! I enjoy them all.
Are repair parts immediately available at your Honda dealers back in civilization?
Self-sufficiency! The traditional American way.I thought I had both tie rod ends with me but only had the drivers side and we needed the passenger side. Yeah we've seen a thing or two!Self-sufficiency! The traditional American way.
With the type of riding your group does I suppose you have to have parts, tools, and know-how to get home every time.
I was tired from walking up and down that hill so many times. That steep walk is hard on a fat man!
I tried to straddle the rut this time and fell in on the drivers side. Took awhile to get my machine back up enough to get it to drop in on the passenger side. Tore my other fender flare off.Dang!!! That IS a bad spot to be stuck at.......I still have the beauty marks from this little guy 👇

If there was ever an understatement made on this forum this is it.Yeah we've seen a thing or two!
LOL...yeah it's for real.Is that for real? I mean, are you actually riding that bicycle on that trail or did you stumble upon an abandoned bike?
Why is that? Certainly, it will put you in shape (or in my case, show you how out of shape you are).Riding a bicycle alone in the desert sounds a little too risky unless you're a triathlon competitor.
