@Plumber32 @Adam490 @Bad_bowtie
Day 1 of the family/kids ride. Nothing but easy trails. Eternal Flame, Laco Overlook, Standing Stone and Cave Branch Trail. @Bad_bowtie broke a front axle and bent a tie rod coming down Cave Branch Trail. Took about a hour+ to get tie rod replaced due to being in such a bad spot. Went 10 minutes down the trail and @Bad_bowtie broke his other front axle, bent the other tie rod and busted off the tie rod end. We had to leave his machine overnight due to not having parts.

Great photos! I enjoy them all.

Are repair parts immediately available at your Honda dealers back in civilization?

I thought I had both tie rod ends with me but only had the drivers side and we needed the passenger side. I need to go back over my trail parts and tools because I've slowly robbed stuff and not replaced them. I make sure I have plenty of common parts at home so I don't have to depend on a dealer for quick parts

Self-sufficiency! The traditional American way.

With the type of riding your group does I suppose you have to have parts, tools, and know-how to get home every time.

😂😂😂
I tried to straddle the rut this time and fell in on the drivers side. Took awhile to get my machine back up enough to get it to drop in on the passenger side. Tore my other fender flare off.

Well...today's shot from the trail will be of a different sort. Casa grande mountain bike trails. Today I have confirmed that I am very very out of shape, and no amount of riding around in the backyard on flat ground is going to prepare me for actual trail riding on hills. It's going to be a long road...

It's impossible for me to get thru Utah without stopping on my way to my Sister's place in Phoenix.

There's a connecting trail up on that edge but I couldn't find a way up there. :(

As Lake Powell recedes from the draught, it leaves 'surprises' a loooooong way from the waterline. This guy was 100 yards from the waterline and 15 miles from the highway - the truck had been there so long, the mud was dry. They busted their butts trying to get out before giving up.

That's Lake Powell in the distance, along with that truck -
