thinking about getting a sheet of aluminum and making a skid plate. Has anyone done this and the material used ? also wondering the thickness of the Honda after market skid plate for the 1000-5.
I bought mine from ricochet off road. It's 3/16 thick. I don't see why you couldn't build your own. Mine was expensive but came with everything all the hardware and directions. But I'm sure you could make your own. Good luck
