Is this for motorcycles also? Define the classes for the illiterate. Also how many races are there in the season?

No motorcycles, just UTV short course racing. It's a 5 race series with the finals in October.

I found another benefit to running poly brake lines.... You can see if there is air bubbles in the lines instead of just assuming there isn't!

I was pumping the brakes last night and noticed a few tiny bubbles moving in the rear line behind the bias adjuster so I bleed the rear brakes again to get it all out. Pretty neat!

may be old school but I run a clear vinyl tube from the bleeder to a water bottle with some brake fluid in it, amazingly when I think I got em bled good, go out next day, crack the bleeder, will always be small air bubbles that settled in the top of the caliper, etc.....

had a pic getting a bottle up high and letting the air sneak out overnight as well.....maddening

If I can get my stock driveshaft lengthened on Monday I'm going to try my hardest to run the new full time 4wd setup this coming race weekend. My stock diff clutch decided it didn't want to participate in 4wd duties anymore and stopped working/being locked (broken) full time last night. I doubt I'll be able to get my hands on another front diff clutch before I leave to go race Thursday morning so it's either run the new setup with a steel driveshaft or figure out a way to "Lincoln lock" the broken one back to full time 4wd......

The difference in weight between the new part and the old front diff clutch is pretty remarkable especially when you consider I won't be using the heavy front yoke that has the splined end that fits into the diff clutch like the stocker has.

Dis some shop bathroom scale testing of the old parts vs new.

The stock front diff clutch is 9.5lbs without the yoke...

The new hotness is 3lbs WITH the yoke...

It's 4-3/8" shorter than the stock setup measuring center of u joint distance....

Over the weekend we figured out that 1.75 x .095 DOM tube will slip fit over the stock driveshaft tube with a bit of sanding so I grabbed a 3' stick of it from Summit Racing Equipment this morning and headed to the local driveshaft shop. The owner understood exactly what I wanted to do and it will be done tomorrow afternoon.

So that means tomorrow evening once i get everything bolted back together I'll have the first and only full time 4wd Talon in the world.

Car is 62lbs lighter with a full tank of fuel and me in it with all my race gear on than it was last season......

Fun fact.... My car is 8lbs lighter with 7.5 gallons of gas in it than a bone stock Talon R is straight off the showroom floor with 1 gallon of gas in it. I have way more cage, heavier suspension and steering components, (2) fire extinguishers, a big radiator and fan setup, oil cooler ect. I'd say all my work this winter was well worth it.

Titanium fasteners and a carbon fiber skid plate will be added in next round of modifications. Other than pulling the motor and going big with it I'm pretty much out of things to do to this car and am just going to enjoy/race it for the rest of the season. I'll revisit the idea of building a bigger/better motor at the end of the season if I think I need to go there or if I move to Pro N/A

One issue I did have this weekend:

A rock got caught up in the LR wheel and at some point at the end of the main and punched a hole in the inside shell letting the air out. I heard a noise twice during the race that sounded like my sub-trans or rear diff was self destructing but I guess it was the rock jamming up between the wheel/caliper. Good thing about running these 3 piece Keizer Wheels is that I can take it apart and replace the inner wheel shell with a new one and my local Smiley's Racing Products stocks the wheel halfs for the sprint car guys.
