Jackson Racing Turbo failure

Has anyone had a Jackson turbo failure? I am having a bad smoking problem as well as oil in the turbo outlet hose that goes to the intercooler. Oscar Jackson says that there’s no way that it’s the turbo. He said there are no seals to replace, but the turbo is rebuildable. So, which is it? Jackson wants to sell me a new turbo for $1400. I would either want to rebuild this one for cheap, or get a bigger and better turbo from Dr Powersports.

I suggest calling your best local turbo rebuilder and ask them. If it's removed, take it to them and I bet they will give you an answer and a bid on the spot.
