I never felt a flat so I think it may have punctured the wheel on the last half of the last lap. I didn't know I had a flat until the guy at the scales told me either.

I passed that Maverick R in the first turn of the first lap of the heat and he couldn't drive back around me. 😁

I couldn't do it, it's to freaking nice for me to wreck so I'm going to sell it to my engine guy so he can put it on his insane Talon 4 seater where it will look much better and not get wrecked at the dunes.

I never really wanted the hood just the console but the deal was to good to pass up so I grabbed both.

I love how flat my car jumps when i send it. My spotter said very few cars of any brand out on the track fly through the air like mine does.....

Round 2 at Mid America is next weekend. I decided I'm going to race 2 classes, Vet N/A and Expert N/A for more seat time and to chase fast 20 somethings in big money cars around in Expert class to see how I stack up. According to the lap times from the last race I should be top 4 or 5 in Expert class. If I manage a podium in that class it's going to be a huge accomplishment.... We shall see.

as we all know, 90% good car setup with a talented driver can easily overcome $$'s in this type of racing - do awesome, be safe and kick some butt!!!!

Used my service truck crane outrigger to break the inner bead and once the tire was off I cut the silicone between the halfs and split them. Keizer uses clear silicone and it peeled right off the wheel half I am reusing. Put the three pieces back together and torqued the bolts to 8 ugga-duggas each in a star pattern. The only silicone I had on hand was Permatex Ultra Grey in the cheese whiz can so I used that and put a bead in between the two halfs and then smoothed it out with my finger......

Good as new and waaaaaay cheaper than having to buy a new wheel. I'll put the tire back on later tonight once the silicone sets up.

Welp, bad news..... I got hit in my service truck by a loaded box truck this morning and I'm not in any shape to go race now.😔 Ended up with 2 broken fingers and a sprained wrist on my left hand (I'm left handed) and the rest of me feels like I got hit by a truck. This blows, I was really looking forward to this weekend....

On the bright side I'll be getting a new service truck sooner than later now, it's totaled.
