I posted 2 pics. The plastic on the air box cover had to be cut which I took the pic before I smoothed the cut out. Then the plastic on the bed where the pipe came up had to be cut. All the cutting was super easy. I used a Dremel tool..what plastic needed to be trimmed? Do you have a picture of that?
I'm new to the forum. Just picked up my P1000-5 today and first thing is snorkeling. I have a real adversion to bringing the snorkel up in the cab, mainly due to my past experiance with the noise. And the loss of that cup holder. So if I mount it straight through the hood, what size pipe are you running and how do you seal it to the air box? I don't want to reinvent the wheel.
Thanks
Awesome. I want your shop!Welcome to the forum.

I just saw on eBay they have a kit for the p1000 That's bolt on snorkel with no cutting required. Its around 200$ i believe I'd rather cut a little or try to figure out how they did not to cut anything that spend 200 on some pvc pipe
I just ordered it all off amazon using your links. It was $85. Of course being in Alaska and wanting it next week, I paid an extra $35 shipping.....This system I built is way cheaper than $200 and that includes buying a spare hood if you wanted it.

Just did mine. Used 2" PVC,a 2" rubber hose connector from Menards. Greased it up with dawn and worked it onto the inlet under the hood and cut a 3.5" hole in the hood. I'm going to get an elbow piece to top it with when I get back home and cut it like an exhaust stack pointing at the windshield. Total cost 6.75 and the hardest part was cutting the hood in the right place. Anyone care to share how they got the hole in the hood in the right spot?

If it comes up between bed and back seat, thats the one I have. I don't like anything in my field of vision up front so this was a no brainer for me. It all boils down to personal preference. In my opinion, worth every cent of 200 bucksI just saw on eBay they have a kit for the p1000 That's bolt on snorkel with no cutting required. Ah, mine involved a level. Masking tape, and a bit of a wild ass guessI think somebody said they used a laser pointer centered in the intake to mark the spot.
Yes that's the 1 I saw. What kind of pipe is on it? Can you send me some pics of it ?If it comes up between bed and back seat, thats the one I have.
