From my research, it looks like the column spline was changed in 97.

From my research, it looks like the column spline was changed in 97.
Makes sense from what cars it fit. But also it didn’t fit all models of those years or previous years. I know for a FACT those above pictures fit.

Will the NRG hub on Amazon for 77 bucks work to take out all this guesswork of which $25 dollar part is going to fit?

From the looks you can use a quick release or don't have to it, it takes out all the guess work if you don't mind the price.
Using the short hub will help maintain the gap between wheel and paddles. If the gap is not a concern, order the under $10 one linked in original post. The price is my concern. If this new one I ordered does not fit, I will return it and buy the Amazon one.

Then cut the bottom off the hub so it's about 2 3/4" tall. B2ee49695581ae1476cdb8fa4cf49e09
The bottom of that hub isnt splined anyway so cut that shyt down.
