P1000 Sway Bar

When I 1st got my Big Red 700 a few years back, one of the free mods was to remove the rear sway bar. It gave it a little more flex and didn't really seem to alter the way it handled in a negative way. Has anybody tried this? I'm curious if it helps/hurts anything.
