I’m still on the fence on either the 700-4 deluxe in camo or the 1000-3 deluxe in red. It is a tough decision and I truly appreciate all the responses here, and I want them to keep coming. I will definitely post pictures once I make a purchase. I’m leaning more towards the 1000-3 deluxe but still undecided.
Here’s the deal. I have a 9 year old son, a 6 year old daughter and a 14 year old step son. My daughter can ride in the front between me and my girlfriend, my son has his own Honda TRX90, and my step son can ride my Honda Foreman.
What do I do, oh what do I do?? It’s driving me nuts! 😂
Thanks for all the comments!
I'm surprised after all the posts you've received that you are still on the fence. If you are going to UTV for recreational use with a group, you will find that the 700 will struggle to keep up with the crowd. I would say the 700 would be a good work machine if you didn't need too much power, but for a trail machine the P1000 is what you'll want. You do not want a windshield that does not allow ventilation - the P1000 gets warm and you'll be looking for as much air circulation as you can get. BTW, I have a P1000-1 in red. Regardless of machine I would warn you that riding on pavement, if that is what you will be doing, goes through tires a lot sooner that you might expect. I had a new set of tires at about 1,200 miles.

P1k5. I don't even know why they make a 3 seater anymore :p

For real tho, in my opinion, the 500 is a great 2 seater atv that fits down all the tight cool trails. The 1000 is for those ready to tackle big projects. The 700 is a strange middle man that I am not sure what kind of niche it fills :p

1000 all day for me. The extra power is nice, going 35mph down the road isn't redlining the machine, more room, towing capacity, bed weight capacity, and the true ability to go anywhere.

Just think about 4 big grown adults with a cooler can hit almost 1000lbs.

Hello, this is my 2nd post here on the site. I’m thinking of buying a new Pioneer 1000-3 Deluxe in red. I’m also considering the 700-2 Deluxe or 700-4 Deluxe.
I’m not sure which one to buy. I don’t need a 1000 but I like the options it has compared to a 700 (turf mode/H/L vs. only drive and reverse on the 700).
This will be a very costly investment for me so I have to get it right the 1st time. I don’t want to settle for something I don’t want. The only other side by side I’ve had was a Kawasaki Mule 2510. It did all I needed to do but I got tired of working on it so I sold it.
The accessories I plan to purchase and have installed are a winch, windshield, and roof. Possibly some c.v. boot guards also. Maybe even a good quality sound bar.
What are your thoughts/opinions?
Thanks
Get the 1000. The 700 is underpowered. I learned the hard way!

To piggyback on this...kind of...I wouldnt rule out a windshield completely. As I said earlier I have a p1k5 and it has a windshield. But I bought the seizmik model with vents (I think it's called the versavent) you can open and close, so you do get airflow but not a ton. Some guys on here have also ordered extra vents from seizmik and added them as well and if I remember right, most if not all of their stuff has a lifetime warranty. I was hesitant to get one at first, as there are a million arguments both ways on this site. But...my very first trail ride after getting it installed my daughter and I were in it and took a bird off the windshield at 40 mph....had I not installed it, the bird would have hit me square in the chest....at 40 mph.... So, do they make the cab warmer, yes...but they also keep flying debris from hitting you or your passengers. They are also very nice if you ride at all when the weather is colder, keeps most of the wind off your face. Also if it hasnt been mentioned yet, a set of rear view mirrors is very handy to have as well.

I took a bird in the chest at about 130 on my crotch rocket one time. I’m glad I had a helmet and leather coat on….big bruise on my chest and when I got to the party there was blood and guts all over me. I borrowed his hose, then some clothes. Lol

40 mph doesn’t seem so bad. ;)

I bought a 700. After a trail ride when the 700 wouldn't make it up a steep grade (it needed low range and diff lock) I came home and took the loss and bought a 1000. The wife didn't like the financial hit but after the first trip in the 1000 she agreed it was the right move.

No, 40 mph wasnt bad...but...if it would have hit my kid in the head, I would have had an injured kid and po-ed wife to deal with...so its all relative...

I would agree with most of the rest of the responses; I just had a 2021 P700-4 deluxe in camo that I liked just fine until I drove a P1000. Just sold the P700 but it’s hard to get anything to replace it around here.

There are graphics kits you can get if you really can’t stand the color.

I have a Pioneer 1000 and have had it for several years. I plow snow with a 6 foot blade. It came with the roof, but I purchased a glass windshield, winch, rear windshield with a sliding window, rear bumper and light bar. Not sorry I went with the 1000. I do a lot of trail work with it. It's a very capable machine.
Good Luck

Mocha?? Would that be like camo for mud?

Out our way, mud is so rare if there's a 4 foot wide mud puddle, there'll be at least 3 or 4 UTV's trying to play in it, along with several PO'd ducks who were there first. :)
Mocha Brown. Honda color on the Pioneer LE. lol

WELL FOLKS I FINALLY BOUGHT MY SIDE BY SIDE! Got a good deal on a 2016 Pioneer 1000-3 EPS! Gonna take it to the dealer to have all the fluids and filters changed and have them look it over front to back. Also gonna have recalls done.

Congratulations. It looks like new. In fact, you could have told me it is new and I would not have argued.

I think it's a wise move to take it to a dealer to change all the fluids and filters and perform the updates.
