So some of you probably already think this build has been kinda crazy for 7 days but I'm beginning to agree with you.

My first machine never had power in the ROPs or at the roof. I need that now. I'm worried I might need it in the future too. So since I'm swapping around my fuse box and adding a few cool things it's time for a harness build.

I started by snaking a string from my undee hood fuse box down the fire wall, under the floor and to the location of my under seat fan. Yup I'm doing a fan on this one. I marked my string fan +10" . Then I routed the string along the under side of the seat to the driver side b-pillar, up the b pillar and to my roof light harness. At this point I made the decision to run 4 wires to the roof. Who knows why but I have roof for growth.

Anyhow here are a few photos

String and the first 4 wires

And if you're really worried about my OCD ... Yes I paired my hots and grounds. I'm a fan of the Chinese finger trap loom, it works well, goes on easy and should last forever.

It begins again. Picked up a 2018 Pioneer 1000-5.

Here's a few photos at the dealer. I have a couple parts at home to install and the build should go fairly quick. In the end I'll have a pretty capable family trail machine.

Once he fires up all the lights and runs his fans at the same time....second battery might be handy.

I'll keep an eye on the volt meter and decide if I need it. It's easier to run a slower pace at night and I don't really need the lights during the day.

I found I was running at 14.1 volts at Takeover with the engine fan on all the time. The new under seat fan is only 5.5 amps so we'll see how well they play together

Installed the Superwinch Terra45 on a Warn mount. The warn mount fit was less than great but I made it fit. Not sure about the winch being upside down but the cable routing is nice. I installed the 12" RC light bar on the bumper and recovery points installed.

When I installed my Terra 45 with the warn mount, I noticed the winch rope rubbed on the edge (a sharp edge) before exiting to the fairlead.
I filed the edge off. But it was rather disappointing. Just an FYI.

I had to bend the tabs for the fairlead quite a bit but the cable looks ok. I would not say I was impressed. I'll run it for a while and try it out.

Well the painted VHB taped rock sliders were a success. I'm digging the red strip too. I'll let them set over night before putting the skid plate on

I bonded the tape to the sliders first, then cut the holes. Then peeled the backer and started all the bolts. After the bolts were started I applied pressure to adhere the vhb. Then I tightened all the bolts to hold it in place.

We have power to everything (except reverse lights)...

Running the machine at idle with headlights on high beam, 2 3.5" Quadboss roof lights and a 12" RC single row bar is 14.1 volts. Running both fans pulls it down to 13.9 pretty sure I'm sticking to the stock battery.

The fan under seat is a 5.5" Spal. 325 CFM. Fits well and it blows, not sure if it's enough or too much or whatever!?! Bracket is lame, nobody can see it and I shouldn't hit it on anything so it's no overkill, first time for everything

Switch panel is full.

Roof lights are pretty decent.

Can't complain yet, made a few changes for the better for sure. Skid plate and vent lines tomorrow.

With 2 auxiliary fans , rock lights, 2 4" LEDs and 2 9inch LEDs my voltmeter bbn is 13.8.

I mainly installed second battery in case I need extended winching sessions.

PS.... what lift is that?

The lift is a Wheeltronics 6k. It's Snap-on branded and pretty much awesome. That's probably the only reason I got this much work done in a week and a half.

Anyhow, fully built Pioneer 1000-5, 55 miles, 5 tires, beadlocks wheels, completely built for having fun. Fox Shocks,LED lights, full skid plates, a-arm guards, Alienshade, Terra45 winch, under seat fan, side mirrors, lots of extras For Sale $22,500

Took a couple days off this build. First ride out resulted in a broken left front axle shaft. Got buried up over the doors. s***ty day but still nice to be out riding. I'm stuck at 88 miles. New shaft shipped today.

Parts currently on order/up for install
Left axle shaft
Harness bar
Harness bar clamps
Can-am harnesses
3" Through hood snorkel

Tube clamps and belt mounts. Some cut, grind, weld required

I'm also looking at new transportation for the rig. 7x14 haulmark trailer. I'm going to test drive it tomorrow.

Interested to see how those brackets work for your harness.
They look about an inch too long. I was hoping for something that wrapped the tube rather just a flat gusset. Test fit today made them look way long. They were cheap so I'll use them eventually.

I was thinking more about the clearance above the seat back... but yeah. I could see them being uncomfortable in a roll over. Lol

The tabs will go on the back side of the harness bar. I could just weld them to the harness bar but then I can't change it later as easily. Until I get the bar I won't know for sure
