After last weekend and way too deep of water, I gave up on the stock intake.

Incase anyone is looking to do this mod, here are the parts needed. I used a 3.25" hole saw.

2 90 degrees 3" elbows, 1 15" 3" pipe cut to 12.5" and 1 5" long 3" pipe. 3" intake inlet.

Break down of the parter and a link to order

I used a section of 3" exhaust pipe to go through the hood. You will need 1 additional 3" clamp, 5 total

Same reason I did mine; found a hole that used to be 12" deep was over my headlights when I went back through. I went through the hood just because it was easier, but I do like it relocated off to the side. Did you have the light mounted back there on your previous build? Curious to how it handles the heat.

I do not have a light mounted on the lower windshield.

Looks good! I like it.
But for the record, mine has been through the hood for 4 years and you actually don’t know it’s there unless your starring at it o_Olol. Dosnt even effect the light bar when it’s on.
I agree.. I haven’t ever been bothered by mine through the hood. But I do like his setup

You already broken an axle?
Yup. Buried it over the doors twice on the first ride out with the wife and kids. Snapped the left front shaft while winching. Very unsuccessful first ride, 8 miles in 3 hours. 1 broken tree saver, broken front left shaft, bent front bumper. We ended up winching 5 times and getting pulled through a hole once.

Pipeline? Even the access roads coming out of Breed are 2 ft deeper than normal!

I ran 220ish miles last week and had a really good time. I need to take a little preload out of the front springs but otherwise I really like it.

I got my Uni filter cover for my snorkel today. Should work well for picking up dust.
