I felt really good about finishing this around 7pm. Can't find my steering stops anywhere and only got one all together for today.

Did you put c clips on the bottom arms? I did not at first since my 18 did not come with them...then it got me in Windrock. Had to go back and put c clips on the bottom arms.

Yes I did. All of my stock arms on my 16 had them but some of the replacements didn't. My 18 did not have them but I have added them. They might not do much but they make me feel better like castle nuts on tie rods

Not the first one to do this but I did it a bit different. After welding washers on @Plumber32 machine a few weeks back I figured it was time to do my own. I really like the added beef on the A-arm tab but I didn't like the Allen head screw. I spent a lot of time surfing eBay for bolts and found a Polaris M10x1.5 230mm (7518472) OEM zinc plated grade 10.9 flange head bolt. It's a sportsman upper control arm bolt. @Neohio sent me a few of his weld washers and I turned 2 of them to fit the flange bolt rather than the McMaster bolt he recommended. What I ended up with was a snug fitting bolt and nut flange inside the weld washer.

Comparison picture of the OEM bolt vs new. Now before someone says the rear a-arm tab is on the thread, keep in mind we still need a weak link somewhere. With the snug fit of the nut flange in the weld washer Im already load sharing the portion of the bolt that's threaded and if something had to break replacing the bolt is cheap and easy, in reality the tight fit on the bushings in the a-arm tabs drives any side to side load into the inner face of the a-arm tabs anyway.

Rear welded. Note that I used the OEM bolt for set up rather than my new bolts so I didn't get weld spatter on the new threads

New bolt test fit and perfect fit at that

Couple more things coming up this week. I ordered a Dynojet Power Vision PV3 for a bit of tuning. That should be fun.

I'm also working on a-pillar grab handles for driver and passenger. I'm thinking something like this.

That looks bada**!
How did it line back up? What r u doing for windshield now?

The tapped back together with a hammer really nice.

I need to play with the windshield after I'm done painting. I think I'll have to take some off but I'm going to try to get it to fit the roof profile more like the Honda OEM windshield so less air comes over it. That might be too much work so I'll probably just slice 2" off.

Cut the windshield after the paint was dry and put the roof back on. Also mounted the mirror on the windshield support. Might need a longer ball stud so it works both open or closed

I like the way your project turned out. I plan on starting my cage chop this week.

Despite the Facebook comments that this can be done in 2 hours, I'd say I had closer to 12 in it.
My wife and 2 kids were not a whole lot of help but they certainly had a few distractions for me. An extra set of hands would be really nice

I finally got my Dynojet Powervision PV3. I loaded the Dynojet map for my machine and I'm impressed with the little bit extra get up and go off the line. The shifts are a bit more firm and overall the machine seems smoother. I rode it a few miles and noticed the lower fan kick on as well.

I played with the tuning capabilities a little bit and enabled reverse shifting in automatic mode for 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4. I also adjusted the fan to come on at 205F and off at 190. The stock was 227 and 223f which seems way too high.

I'll play with it more and see what I can do.

I found a set of used high lifter rear a-arms.

Back on the ground for side by side comparison. This is the no lift position on the camber adjustment

Can that plug and play? Like could you hook up to mine and change the fan then unplug it?
