So... Went to TopTrails today... Was the about 30mins and punctured a sidewall on the right rear factory tire...ran it back loaded it up and took it to the nearest ATV dealer which happened to be Kawasaki. Bought the ONLY 25x10-12 they had which was used, for $40 installed. It was some Kenda POS turf tire, went back and was keeping up with a group of rzr 900s and can-ams... Speed means nothing on tight trails.
Any hole they went through I followed right behind, maybe the Pioneer gets altitude sickness, but at @2000' it runs perfect (as long as you keep rocks on the outside of the tires)
I'll be looking for a good deal on some 27" tires in the next few months.
TopTrails is fun, a lot of good STEEP hill climbs, creek crossings, fun trails, mud holes( if you're into that kind of thing) lots of trees so you can spend a hot Alabama day in the shade for the most part.
Plenty of parking, camping (no power or facilities yet, you gotta bring your own.)

Actually tire shopping at the moment, leaning toward just tires, people seem to recommend 12" rims anyway.

Well... that sucks. It has happened to the best of us. I normally do not carry a spare tire but am thinking about it because of this issue. I busted two wheels in WV and had to drive 10+ miles back. It totally sucked.
If you stick with the factory wheels... You are going to need a extra wheel to keep that spare! Do you need one?

Going riding again at TOPTrails weekend of Sept 13th or 20th if anyone wants to go let me know.
They are constantly adding to the park it is going to be a very nice riding location, before too long.

Sat Sept 20th I am going to TopTrails in Talladega, AL if anyone wants to join.
I will be out there about 8am and riding all day.
Its a nice park and only getting better (adding 60 miles of trails this winter) you can ride all day and not touch the same trail twice.
Has easy dirt roads all the way to "OH $)(!+" hills and trails, mud holes, and creeks.
Haven't taken all the trails yet.

The only place that is still open that I know of is near Andalusia, AL. Boggs and Boulders, I hear is good but haven't been.

Ok might see about getting a ride together one Saturday in a month or so.
BabyCreek is due to show up in the next few weeks so it's gonna be a while before I am gone somewhere all day.

i went to top trails in talladega about 3 weeks ago.... it has some good trails.....i have been twice and ready to go again...

Don't they let the park go down hill no maintence, they let samurais rut it out.
Plus there's a good chance you'll get shot at if the jack hole land owner on the west side has removed the detour signs and trail obstructions TopTrails puts up.
It's gotten to be a slow booze cruise park for the locals.
Chattanooga has a MUCH better trail system @joeymt33 also rides at bull run which is on AL/TN border.

Thanks for the heads-up - I really appreciate it! Don't mind making a time investment, really not interested in wasting my time!
I need to get together with some of those in the know and check out Bull Run!
