STOPPER  !!! Well, it sacrificed it's life, but it did its job!!! The first pic is what it looked like when I noticed it out on the trail, the second pic is what it looked like when I was loading it back on the truck at the end of the ride. I remember the stob I hit that caused the initial damage, but I don't know what pushed it on further underneath the axle. Anyway, I see no damage to any components.

Lol. Is that all you saw in that picture?
I'd say you got off very lucky. There's a lot of real heavy thistle where I go for prairie dogs so I do worry about those boots.

I'm going to attempt to bend it back. If I go new, it will not be the same brand.
In my sport quad days I learned to start going with PRM or Ricochet , .25 aluminum on the swing A-Arm. They both made good stuff. I'm not even sure if either are around anymore without looking.

Thanks. I expect bending it back is going to weaken it, so I'm not sure.

Yeah really. That's what I think too, so I'm really not disappointed, the components that it's suppose to protect, it did!

I used to have to bang them out from time to time, try not to kink it and you'll at least get more life out of it.
That's what I'm thinking QM!

I'm not sure if s&s makes them for 500 but they are very thick and well made.

Is that the same as SSS that makes skid plates??
Try S&S Fabrication if you buy more, I don't think he has a website but has a Facebook page. I just ordered a skid plate from him. He's got stuff on Ebay but I called him directly and got a better price.

His name is Shaun 606-793-4479. He is a really nice guy. I ordered a skid plate for mine and also one for my buddy's 1000 Turbo 4 seater RZR. I told another friend about it and he ordered a skid as well Lol. Quality stuff at a really good price. I plan on ordering some back A arms guards after seeing how quality this stuff is.

Do you think it is possible that the front suspension articulation would cause the bent stopper to get trapped under the axle? It looks like when the suspension dropped back down, the axle put a crease in it.
