Slight change of topic, what did you use and how did you paint the gear label selectors white? Any scuffing required? Did you mask it off? What paint did you use, and how did you apply it? THANK YOU

Here is the mock up for the switches and stereo. I say mock up because I'll use textured plastic for the finished product.

I just used "white out". No scuffing. No masking. Just went slow and brushed it on.

It seems to flake off easily if wiped hard. It's not a problem for me as I kept the bottle of white out in the glove box.

I would test it on a sample piece first but maybe if your wife had some clear fingernail polish.....

Walmart sells glow in the dark white paint. I am going to try this out! Maybe they will glow some at night so they are visible.

I got this thing called a job which has been keeping me from wrenching on the new Pioneer. Oh well, I guess I should keep the job or no Pioneer at all! Recently, I had time to get a couple little things done.

Here a couple pics with the light cubes wired up.

For comparison, here is stock LED head lights.

Now here is the two light cubes on with the headlights.

I got around to installing the extra battery and isolator. I want to thank those that have gone before and made this mod easy to pick parts and install.

Here you can see the battery hold down and the isolator mounted behind the battery.

@joeymt33 Very nice, like how you have the isolator tucked away while integrating a battery strap and ground for the second battery. But what is the black box between the radiator tank and the intake pre filter cover? Is that your PDM or winch relay?

In my opinion, the MudBuster fender flares for the P1000 is lacking a little bit. They do offer much better protection but they could be almost perfect with a little modification. They also have clear instructions with pictures and provide plenty of hardware. I'll explain with some pictures.

In this picture you can see the front flares taper in toward the front. It looks good and I'm sure it keeps them from getting broken.

27fbaa847d6ca749a87f0a25ac5c9576

Here is a picture of the water spray that I believe could be prevented if the front fender coverage extends a little more.

365613ef5eea090185bb4bc2a350fbe9

Also, the rear fender flares had to be cut to fit. The following pictures shows the problem area.

687874a67b25a9e150d88dad12ab6d60

You can see the rough edge where I cut to clear the frame gusset/bracket.
