Looking to order some U-bolts to fit the P500 tubing. Specifically for mounting some front fender flares. I get a 1.640" OD on the tube with my calipers. Does 1 5/8" ID (1.625") fit these tubes? or do you need to go to 1.75" and use some thin rubber tubing, etc?

I would say they will work just fine............a u-bolt does not have a tight tolerance! !

Take the calipers with you to the hardware store. Then tell us what size u-bolt to buy because we don't have calipers. (BIG GRIN)

Not sure if my local carries that size and was looking for possible SS or galv ones. Thought someone might have already tried it.

While not for the purpose I had in mind, these might have other uses on the P500: McMaster-Carr
