I’m in the process of installing my viper winch. I’m hoping someone can clarify this situation I have. The diagram in the manual doesn’t match the actual parts.
Mine is the same with the yellow and white wires reversed. Did you buy it from the Club Store here? If so call Richard, he probably will answer your question anyways. You have the winch mounted? Pics? Rooster is going to the shop next Tuesday for the winch install and a couple other things.I’m in the process of installing my viper winch. I’m hoping someone can clarify this situation I have. I used the cig lighter key on pig tail I got from the club store to connect the red wire. Everything else will go to my aux battery. The black wire can be grounded anywhere. If you have a better spot use it. In the image they chose to use the main ground post.
The red needs 12v KEY ON or switched. I recommend key-on as you should always have the machine running when winching, but switched is fine. Never pick constant power.
You said you mounted your plate today. Did you have any fitment issues?I used the cig lighter key on pig tail I got from the club store to connect the red wire. Everything else will go to my aux battery.
