Looking for rims and tires on my Honda 1000 and wondering if I want a taller tire. what would be the tallest tire I could go with without rubbing?
Hahaha i know right?Wait...the 1000 comes with 27's, but the biggest you can go is 28? That's a little surprising.
It sucks that you have to go ask people to get the true size of tires. The 25" on the 700 might be 25...at 20PSI!Hahaha i know right?
the stock 27’s are like 26 true. My motoclaws i had were 28’s but were 28-1/2 and rubbed with my stock arms when i turend ,mother truckin weird! Depends on the brand i guess? My LT/MT 30’s tires i run now with my SATV arms are true 30’s
I agreeIt sucks that you have to go ask people to get the true size of tires. The 25" on the 700 might be 25...at 20PSI!
28’s but not all tires are created equal so that size dont mean diddly poo in most cases. Get the actual hight of the tire before you just think any old 28 will work.
BTW, seen this is your first post and haven't introduced yourself.

Do you run the tens on the front and back?I have 28x10x14 Intimadators and they rub at full turn while under a little compression. The tread is probably 2” thick though, so some rubbing was expected.
I put ripsaws on 4wheeler and they are way to heavy fore sureI run 28 Sedona Ripsaws. No rubbing. My buddy put 29s on and had so much power loss, he took them off. But we run at 8500-14000 ft. I would be just as concerned about how much power you loose with larger tires then if they rub or not.
