Mine showed up today. Did you use loc-tite on them?
Long story short, I didn't double check them when I had the guys at that COOP install them. Last year at the take over we started hearing and feeling noise from the left front. It kept getting worse and before the wife and I made it back to camp we got to see the front wheel go rolling on down the trail ahead of us. Torq. And lock tight.

Discovered a piece of rubber on the 500 that I never realized was there, or maybe I did and just never paid attention. It's kind of surrounding the coolant reserve tank protecting it from the passenger's side wheel well. It's installed with push pins the same way I did the firewall cover. What's odd is that it got me looking at the other side where there isn't one. The holes are there for the pins but no rubber. It would serve for some protection of the brake fluid tank and probably stop some more water infiltration. Also noticed a little clip on the front of the brake tank that it could hook to. Wonder if Honda had planned on it but bailed for some reason? Or does someone have that on both sides and mine just doesn't have it?

I bet they use the same part with the hole in it for left and right.
Looking at the overflow tank it has extra bits, probably came out of the corporate parts box.
So the rubber flap is probably some bandaid to keep it from sucking muddy water and getting grit in the cooling system.

That's my guess.

I Finished a new trail and took the 500 for a spin...
P500 in its best element, tight rough trails. Nice property you have. Saw a water tote, do you have a mobile fire pump set up? 2 inch HF trash pump and 1.5 inch fire hose still going strong.

I did the first clutch adjustment. I had been postponing it thinking it was a long, complicated job. WOW! Once I found a 14mm wrench it took less than a couple of minutes.
The video I linked to below is great, and should be earmarked for ease in finding.
Wow, where to start? Here is a video link for the clutch adjustment.

I helped a friend retrieve 2 dozen, 30 foot long, black spruce teepee poles with my P500 and 10 foot trailer. I estimate the total weight to be about a ton; the tongue weight was almost zero. I didn't go more than 15 mph. I couldn't tell I was pulling so much weight until I went down a small hill and then it was obvious.IMG 3696

Used the P500 and fire hose trailer to disperse blue dye algaecide into the pond. Stuff is highly concentrated as 1/2 gallon did the job, but made my hands look like a bank robber.

A main reason why I chose the P500, Honda downhill engine braking.

Used Banner to drag half a dozen pine trees to the burn pile that we pulled out with the excavator to make an access path for the new pool to be installed.
