50 mile ride today, less heat and noise. Managed to lose my phone, backtracked and found it thankfully. 2nd time I’ve almost lost it, apparently I’m a dumbass. One pic, on a nice smooth trail to the local Country Club. You can partake in their fine food and drink or even play a round if you like. Nice to see local businesses getting on board.

I keep my phone in the "box". It aint gonna escape from there, unless my wife is with me, and there is no room in it for my stuff. Under those circumstances, I have had to backtrack too. :)

I do the same. Stopped for a quick break and replied to a text from the wife. Set the phone on the rack and then forgot to put it back in the box. So, technically, it’s the wife’s fault.

Took the 500 out this weekend, and this was the first time I gave it a hard workout in the trails and mud. Suspension sucks, although good for yard work. Need EPS for sure. I made the mistake of riding my buddies P1000, now I am super confused.

If you're not in the woods or riding 50" restricted trails, then might not need the P5.

Try some 27s, softens the ride a shat ton. Torq locker too, of course. Go about anywhere after that, but still not fast! ;)

Was out today and stopped near a muddy potholed section to eat lunch. 3 Polaris and 1 Yamaha came by as we sat there. Not one of them slowed down, just blew through that section like it was nothing. I stared after them as I chewed my peanut butter sandwich.................sigh................

I decided not to go to trikfest over at Haspin Acre. It rained too much here on the west side of the state. The lady and I was all ready to go for festivity's but just to much mud...lol

I ran all the vent lines up the cage and sealed the airbox. I don’t plan on taking it swimming but it doesn’t hurt to be prepared!

Explain sealing the airbox, not sure what that entails. Also, why does everyone add the air box snorkel at the rear, if you have a windshield that is where all the dust is. Why not run it to the front for the clean air?

Not sure exactly what he did but with the rear end off you can seal around the factory intake plastics with the spooge of your choice. As for the air box, some guys line the seals with Vaseline or dielectric grease to ensure water can't get in. Probably a good idea if you plan to submerge it but not really necessary for the occasional water hole and it's just another mess to deal with when checking your air filter.
You want the snorkel outside of the cab for noise suppression. It'll collect less dust in the front if riding by yourself but not if there's a rider in front of you kicking it up. Could also hinder your sight line depending on where you place it.

I used RTV black on the crank case vent line, the rubber intake and outlets, and sensor. I put a thin layer of Vaseline on the cover seal. When I cover the end of the snorkel the air box starts to collapse before it dies out.....it’s completely air/water tight. The intake being higher keeps the filter cleaner than the stock position but that’s just a by product for me, not drowning it at an ATV Park when I’m drinking was the goal.

I’m going riding on Sunday at a friends mountain. 11+ miles in and I needed a way to keep the spare tire in the bed so, I rigged up a conduit bracket on each outside corner until I can come up with something better. It works for now but I doubt they could survive Tennessee. Also gave her a bath today.
