Took the advice of several on here and got a winch(Finally). It’s a Warn VRX4500 with their mounting kit. Install wasn’t difficult but I did have to backtrack once due to not putting the fairlead bracket on the mount before the winch.(my fault for not following the steps in the paperwork, Lol)
It came with the rocker switch and a wired remote.
Now that it’s all together I’m thinking about an under hood disconnect for the rocker to prevent accidental engagement. Has anyone done this?

Well after installing the power steering I wanted to clean up under the hood so I moved my secondary battery to under the seat. I used a meatal ammo can and made a bracket for it. I moved some things around under the hood also. My accessories only run off secondary. I can select which battery starts machine. Winch runs of secondary or both. Fuse panel is turned on by rocker switch. I do have a marine switch for the batteries mounted in glove box. Cant start machine unless you select a battery and you can kill the entire system when parked. Love the power steering

I use 75/140 Amsoil severe gear oil in my 700.

I have a Somthing-140 weight now (forget the brand). I was thinking of going a bit thicker to try and reduce the obnoxiously loud diff noise.

Had to jump start it to get it home today.
After about 5 years the original battery finally gave up the ghost. It started fine, drove it to the pond where it sat about an hour and when I hit the starter every light on the IP started blinking and winking and nothing but a click of the solenoid under the seat(I least I think that's what the click was). Of course it had to be the coldest and windiest day of winter so far for a walk to get the four wheeler. lol. It drove fine back to the house other than no power steering and the PS light blinking all the way...I assume from low battery voltage. Just ordered the replacement from RMATV along with a Micro-Start PPS which I'd been looking at anyway. Hopefully I'll be back in business by the weekend.

I'll be going to 75-140 when i change the diff's fluid in the spring. Figured I would use Mobil 1 as I have used it in the truck rear diff and transfer case since 2012 and it runs perfect. I don't worry about the 140 weight for the summer, it can only do good.

It has 7 rubber coated strap clamps with nuts and bolts. It took about 25 minutes to put it on by myself. I could probably do it in 15 minutes now. I don't plan on removing it so the clamps are fine. I really like the low profile but it does limit the type of accessory bar mount/clamps that can go under it.

That doesnt sound too bad to pull on and off twice a year. Riding in the heat of the summer with a canvas roof is much much quieter and cooler but as soon as deer season rolls in I put the hard top back on. Def like the low profile looks of the metal better

I finally got around to adding a couple of work lights facing the rear, a small light bar to the front, and changing out the headlight bulbs with Starks. This included fabing a fuse/relay panel and installing a switch panel. I'm happy with the results.

Biker,
I don't know if your roof questions was directed at me, but, EMP has a glass (DOT) one piece windshield that works with their roof. I don't know if any other windshields can be made to work or not. I would like to have a two piece flip up windshield but decided I wanted the lower profile roof more. I will probably get a windshield eventually.
