Lol, the R Spec (not "R") has factory accessories such as hard top and full seats (not split like the base Wolvy).Don't get the Wolverine R
mixed up...with just the
Wolverine. ..there's other
Models...
There's no difference in machine.

Ha, 50 is not .6 less than 60.6, it is 10.6 less inches.I disagree
.6" longer = much larger?
I'm talkin widthHa, 50 is not .6 less than 60.6, it is 10.6 less inches.
YesI really like the cab and the style (sportier) of the wolverine. I think the reliability of the yamaha is right up there with Honda !
I'm talking width.I'm talkin width

Ya, perfect combo would be to have the 1000 and the 500.BIG
YOU GOT THE 1000/5
Mostly ride desert trailsYa, perfect combo would be to have the 1000 and the 500.
There are times I miss the 500. I put HTRs on it with 5+2's and it helped, but it couldn't touch the wolverine in terms of climbing ability. Lack of articulation + lack of front locker hampered it in the steep, rocky climbs. However, for whatever reason the P500 was just really fun to drive.

I climbed things in my Wolverine I wouldn't have touched in my P500.Wolverine got balls

The steep hill in the bull run thread where they discuss falling down the mountain... Followed Joey up that in my stock Wolvy. They can climb for sure.
I just hate they farmed the engine out. Sucks for the recall on the decompression spring in those 708 motors.
Yep, sure does.Never owned one
but have friends
that do....
Everything has it flaws....
And that's the truth! 90% of my riding the 500 will be awesome.. But there's that 10% where more motor, locker and width would make things more fun. A wider machine would have it's limits too.. But with kids growing I'll probably add a 1000 5 seater one of these days.Ya, perfect combo would be to have the 1000 and the 500.

Seemed like the 500 was louder, but they are pretty close. How loud was the wolverine compared to the 500?
I've got $2000 worth of parts for a p500 sitting in my garage waiting for it to ship... I prolly shouldn't even be asking. However, you sob's have me thinking of riding over to the Yamaha dealer tomorrow.Seemed like the 500 was louder, but they are pretty close.
The belt whine over 25mph probably made the Wolverine a different kind of "loud."
The plus of the Duramatic trans has its minus in that constant belt tension means constant belt whine.
