You, quite literally, asked a question, (apparently) got responses that you didn't like, so this is your response? Yikes! 😖

Okay, it's clear we jumped to what you say was a wrong conclusion but you listed your vehicle as a CRV and asked about a trailer and mentioned double-towing.

What would you assume if presented with the same info?

He can't be blamed for people thinking he wanted to tow a 29' trailer and an additional trailer with his P700 all behind a CRV.

At some point, one must think they read something wrong. 😂 😂 😬 😬 😬 😂

A little bit less jumping to conclusions. I asked what size trailer it would fit on, not what vehicle to tow it with.

Our response to your question proves what nice guys we are here. We gave you something extra.

If you ordered a Big Mac at the drive-thru window and the clerk gave you fries and a chocolate shake also would you complain?

Then maybe don't mention the tow vehicle(s) next time ...

Thanks, 6x10 is what I thought, but really wish I could manage to make it work with 5x8 because then we could try to tow it with my wife's CRV. That would be about 100 to 150 lb over the published max for the CRV, but then we could take the trailer and the 700 when we go places.

I ordered a Big Mac, and you guys told me I was too fat to order the fries and the shake.

Except you ordered the Big Mac AND asked if it would fit with the fries and shake:

We have a 29 ft bumper pull trailer, and something tells me that trying to get a 1700 lb load on the back of that and doing a double tow will really be pushing limits.
If the CRV is one with the CVT trans I would suggest not towing anything if you plan on putting many miles on this rig. They're not designed well for pulling. May cost you a lot in the long run, like a new transmission. If not using the CRV, what are you using to tow with? Because if it's a 1/2 pickup you want to get an 18" dove tail trailer. Then you can haul other stuff and it's easier to sale when you wan to trade up or get rid of it.

Was just looking at Tractor Supply, and they have a Karavan with drop rails at the front and side.

That might even put a 5x10 back on the table as an option - drop the rails for loading, and ratchet strap them to get the latches secured...

We have a half ton Ford which is already set up for towing the 29 footer.

But if we're talking about a double tow, a 14 ft trailer is going to put us over the 65 ft limit. I'm already at 50 feet now.

We use a 6.5 X 12 single axle for our P1000. We also pull the trailer with the P1K for utility needs around here. We pull the trailer and Pioneer with a 1500 Ram so we pull the Pioneer all the way to the front and don't even think about tongue weight.

I’d measure that closely on width and length (depending on rail heights). I’m not saying it won’t work but I’d hate to hear you got it home and it didn’t work out.

UHaul rents a 6x12 for $30 a day. It’d be worth renting it to take the SxS to TSC and see if it fit on the trailer before buying it. If TSC will let you do that.

I'm going to try and rent a 22 footer so I can haul mine and my Dads to 24 MOM.

The only reason the CRV was mentioned was if a 5x8 would have worked. That would have been a 1650lb pull at 1250 for the 700 and 400 for the trailer.

Anything bigger than that's going to be outside the envelope.

Yep, my neighbor has a car hauler I was going to borrow if we go down that path. I'd imagine if TSC wants to make a sale, a test fit is fine as long as we don't scratch the paint...

My P5 (P500) honestly just fit on a 5x8 and that was without any sides/front rack on the trailer. I had to leave the tailgate down (or take it off) for it to fit in the 8’ bed of my F350. It was about 2-3” short of closing.

1,650# is 'outside of the envelope' for every Honda CRV ever built. The towing capacity of any post 2002 CRV is 1,500#. For the few years before that, some were only 1,000#.

Who in Gods creation reads directions, but you! HA! Trailering should be taken seriously. The pull isn't the problem, it's the stop.

The pull will be a problem if your tongue weight is too light!
