P500 What was here before?

So I bought this 2017 p500 used with only 500 miles on it and there were clearly some mods on it that they removed and "fixed". The first image is what has me confused because i havent seen anything put there after searching the forum. Does anyone have any idea what might have been there? The second picture was either a glovebox or a switch panel and im just wondering if i order either will it cover up all the melted plastic or is there maybe something ill be able to put behind or around whichever i get to cover the gap. Thanks!

Right side was definitely a glove box of some sort.
I believe there are 2 players in the glove box market currently. One steel and one plastic.
I would suggest contacting both and sending pictures. They may be able to custom make their flange to sit larger to cover that plastic welding.

I'd guess the 1st pic is covering some damage, maybe a stick or rock cracked the wheel well.

Possibly it was a cabin heater for the first pic? Or as 906UP suggested...stick or something damaged the wheel well.

I was thinking cabin heater too.

I think the holes in the warning plate are for mud busters fender flares. Are there a couple holes on each side in about the same spot?

Yea two on the left side. I circled them. Is that what it is then?

Actually a few holes all around the patch. I was thinking of getting some diamond plating and using the existing holes to reinforce it so i dont put my foot through it by accident

I put an aluminum plate inside the wheel well.

P500 - Wheel Well Protectors P500

Installed and trail tested. Two aluminum plates, now painted. drilled and tapped plates to rock sliders, j hook to frame at the top outside frame.
