Haha. I don't know how that happened. I think I slid over on to it because my tires were clogged. The tree is farther under there than it looks in the pic for those that didn't see it in person. Good thing @Delton had his saw, we used it several times that day.

Yes pic is very deceiving cause tree is waaay under there lol. That rig wasn't going anywhere like that lol.

I just recently bought a Stihl MS291 with 18" Bar and I think its perfect, but I'm a bigger guy and it can get heavy after using it all day.

I don't use a saw much either. The Poulan woodshark I had was probably 10 years old and I doubt it had 10 hours on it. Sitting up ruined it. I start my Stihl weekly whether I use it or not. And use Stabil in the fuel every winter

Koplin mount I had on my atv. I had to modify it to fit the pioneer, it works great, but takes on some mud occasionally

Takes on mud occasionally? You just described every square inch of my rig lmao. Seriously though, thats a perfect spot for getting muddy lol. Nice mount. I'm gonna check into them.

Normally take my small Stihl on the trail - fairly light and compact.
Been thinking one of the newer battery powered saws maybe handy for trail use.

I've been wondering about those battery units as well. I know my battery tools (Milwaukee M12 fuel / M18 fuel) are amazing as far as power and run time. I Gus's this is what has me considering battery power for a "little saw". I should research what is out there...

I've just got a few Stihl and a small top handle echo. For a trail saw them top handle echoes are awesome. CS 355t is badass the CS 271t is a great small saw too.

I love a small top handle saw. You are right about being careful but you can run a small top handle saw with one arm and hold branches and throw with the other one.

Love the arborist saw.

Husqvarna 55 rancher with 18" bar. Had it for at least 16 years. Cut lots of wood and trails. Super reliable. Perfect size for almost anything.....well. Would like a little bigger one for the bigger trees and bucking. Fits perfect in back of buggy.

I have 2 Stihl MS170 s T hey are light and easy to carry and handle. Perfect for riding and the farm.

I run a Stihl MS170 on my SxS too. Works perfect and only 6 lbs. My big saw is a Stihl Farm Boss with 20" bar MS270.

I carry my husky 353 with 20 inch bar.
We often get into spots where the 20 inch comes in handy.

Husq 445 18" bar ... it's a $300 saw. Couldn't be happier.

Yes I cut wood regularly,not for a living or for money but for me and mom. 25 cords a year does us both with most of it going to me. (old masonry house)
Keep them Sharp! and clean and they will last long, long,long time
