Dolmar PS 45 45cc w/ 16 inch bar
Dolmar PS 6400 64 cc w. 24 inch bar
Dolmar PS 7910 78.5cc w/ 32 inch bar

My favorite is the 6400, but the others have there places. That's a great saw carrier. Going to have to get one

I was just getting ready to start a chainsaw post but found this one! I'm looking at the Stihl MS170 and MS180 which has a little more hp. I haven't needed to own a chainsaw before but now I live in the boonies and will need to use it once or twice per year... depending on how windy it gets. It's good to see a few of you have the MS170 and are happy with it. I think I'll pick it up Saturday. Thanks for the info!!

Thats what I use also (170). Was gonna buy another poulan but for another 50 bucks I got this Stihl. It's taken several trips in the 1000 with me. Fallen trees on trails are common around here. Also handy for cutting trees out of @sharp 's fenderwells lol. Still scratching my head on how he managed that.

We take a husky 350 or a 141 or 142 with us on trail rides and to camp. All work great.I have a Stihl farm boss with a 20 "bar, but too big for just trail cutting.Huskys have never given me any problems. I won't buy populan or craftsman.....But my Pap makes me use his old purple Poulan wild thing.and I have to say it does ok.But I hate it:mad:

Best small saw I ever owned was a Mac 50. Could use it with one hand easily. Just couldn't let it run out of gas. It'd vapor lock and wouldn't start for almost an hour lol

Ya that's true. Well I just put "your" saw through its paces last week after that storm. I ran at least 6 tanks of gas thru it. And that's just for that one big cedar lol

6 Tanks? You must have really good lights or saw that eats gas.

The 170 has a pretty small tank even for a chainsaw.

Husqvarna 445 x torq.

Easiest cranking saw I've owned.
Light, too.

I picked up a Stihl MS180C a few months back. I like it so far. I like the quick adjust feature. Not sure how it would hold up if used on a daily basis but I'm not making a living with it anyway. I think that it is a great sized and powered saw for the trail.

I carry a cordless sawzall with a 10" blade on it for limbing and trees up to 4". Couple of fat lithium batteries, you'd be surprised.

Cordless tools today are pretty handy.

I run a Stihl 066 (20, 24 and 28" bars) and a Makita 5200. I'm actually looking for a good mount for them for my P1000 which is why this thread caught my eye. I bought the 066 for milling but do still drag it around for bucking and felling so I want to find a secure way to mount it.

I also have a little Craftsman 2.0...that little saw is a beast, always surprises me.
