Hey all,

I'm in the market for some whips and I have no idea where they mount. I see a tab on the rear bar but it's only on one side. I also see it have that's on each side but it's damn near touching my cargo box.

Can anyone show me where they mount their whips or how they are mounted? I'm also looking at the 5150 brand 187. I ride more woods trails and some of the trails actually get pretty dark the further back you go. My buddies whips are bright as hell and he's easy to find once he gets further ahead of you. So, interested in a pair for myself too. Any pics of the whip especially the mount would be appreciated! Thanks all!

Do yourself a favor , Get ahold of Justin at NoCo whips and tell him what you want end result . He will get you going and their whips are AWESOME . I have dual NoCo whips on my Talon and I went under a railroad bridge that was just a little too low . Bent the metal brackets they mount to but the whips are just fine .

I have a pair of Grandmas whips and really like them. I mounted on bar behind seat angled back with a pair of brackets from Amazon.
Awesome customer service too!

Looks great! I like that mount idea you got there. I ordered the 5150 870s already, now we wait for them to arrive! By the way is that mines and Meadows?

Ah okay, there's a place around my neck of the woods that looks similar. In a a cave/rock formation.

Thanks for sharing!

I have a set of 5150 187's and am pleased with them. I purchased a set of mounts off Amazon for around $40. They failed on the first outing. I asked the guys at 5150 which mounts they recommend and was told to check out Axia Alloys. I purchased a set of adjustable angle flag/whip mounts from Axia Alloys and have them mounted up but have not been out with them yet to see how well they will hold up. They are expensive but the quality seems to be much better than the original ones I purchased.

I have the 5150- 5 footers. Do yourself a favor and mount them high up on the rear bar. If you mount it mid way or lower when driving in the dark you won't be able to see in front of you. Just because they are so bright.
