As far as a Sport SXS from Honda, no new information. As always they keep a really good lid on leaks for unannounced machines. They do have one, but the consesus is until the $42 million factory expansion is done in Timmonsville, SC there is no more capacity "yet' for another new SXS line completely different from the Pioneers.
Honda could make an announcement anytime they choose, when they can deliver in quantity is unknown to me. Not what you wanted to hear but that's it in a nutshell.

I am now more interested based simply how I discovered what piles of poopy our front shocks are. Clearing financial path to WE's asap.
The plant expansion in Timmonsville SC, according to a source within should be done mid to late fall of this year.

Hope they announce next month. I expect a 2 and 4 seat 1000 with the same wheelbase like the Teryx. A 100 inch wheelbase should be enough for a center mounted engine and the high speed stability would be good. I would like to see a 50 inch sport model with the 675cc Pioneer 700 engine. Honda run the 2002 Baja 1000 with 2 Rincons and got 1st and 3rd. They had 11 gallon gas tanks, high compression piston, hot cam, race fuel, and geared up to about 80mph top speed. The improved engine would keep the cost down and I really like the torque converter for rock crawling. A top speed of 50 is good enough for a 50 incher.

As far as your dealer is concerned is just as well be a myth, as dealers have been told nothing. Currently the manufacturing expansion in Timmonsville SC is about 90% completed from last information we got a hold of. Hopefully may hear an announcement next spring or summer with a delivery estimate of next fall. Should be two sport models to choose from initially offered both 2 seaters then a 4 seat version offered in 2019.
That's about the best info time wise we can guesstimate.

Does anybody have any inside info on WHEN or even IF this new sport model could be announced/released? I'm really glad I purchased the 2017 family rig last year rather than waiting for this announcement (I thought was going to happen last year).
I'm really starting to doubt/wonder if they're even going to release something. I imagine they've had something in mind for about 2 years now and its hung up with lawyers and reliability testing. The problem is Can Am and Polaris will have each upgraded their sport models twice since Honda drew this thing up and it will be far behind them when it comes out is my guess.
Anyone have any real reason for faith on a spring announcement other than patent drawings which could possibly never come out?
