Who’s 1000 with the two roof vents, and do they help with the heat and dust?

It was my old pioneer, a friend of mine owns it now, I hadn’t paid much attention to the dust. I put them on the roof to blow fresh air on the rear passengers. I have to assume they helped with the vacuum effect of running a full windshield

I was out looking for buried treasures from the past and came across this old spring house. The spring is coming at a strong rate of flow and it’s super ice cold! It’s cool seeing how the early pioneers refrigerated their goods.
I didn’t find any old beers though...

From the Magruder Corridor
The MC was more a trail than a road in my opinion. Rough and narrow at times with shear drop off cliffs. A truly exhilarating experience...
It was 8,179’ high at the Burnt Knob Lookout

Saturday we took off for Mackey Bar and the tiny hamlet of Dixie. The switchbacks down to the Salmon River were narrow and steep with shear drop offs within inches of the edge. Once you go over, there’s be nothing to stop you from going all the way down. I swear it was at least 100* down by the river. Coming back up the 1000 overheated and we had to chill...Luckily we were near the top and temps were 15-20* cooler than down by the river.
