Guys I installed this 2" flex pvc on my machine about a year ago. I was selling the some kits I put together at one point. Check out my page I have bunch of pictures of my install to get ideas off of. Btw I didn't notice any airflow issues it's only two bends and they are not that sharp. Be sure and secure the hose near the factory elbow. Don't let the elbow support it. It will work its way loose.

I'm going to install the 2" and found some at Menards but it's white so I'm hoping black paint made for plastic will stick to it, does anyone know? Did the rubber factory boot work from the air box to the 2" flexible pvc? I had a 2" snorkel on my Can Am with no flow issues

You will need a 2" pvc collar regular white one. The flex pvc using regular hard pvc fittings and pvc glue. The 2" pvc collar is just the right size for the elbow. Secure the hose well so it don't pull on the elbow if not it will slide off. Once your finish install take the machine threw some flexing then make sure collar is still secure in the elbow. Check this connection from time to time. Exp before going into water

Getting it to seal is my worry, but Flex Seal has tape now, and that stuff is bad ass. It'll seal it up without worry.

Why not seal it with a hose clamp?

I don't think it'll be enough to keep the water out completely

Thanks for the information on how it connects, I just have to decide, 10' of white at Menards is about $36 or 25' of black on Amazon is about $70

Ok, I'm willing to purchase 3", flexible PVC as listed here. I'll sell it at cost and ship at cost. I'd like to get 3 committed before I do, I don't want all this lying around. I have to purchase 25' and not sure how long it will take to get here.

Amazon.com : HydroMaxx 25 Feet x 3 Inch Black Flexible PVC Pipe, Hose and Tubing for Koi Ponds, Irrigation and Water Gardens. Includes Free 4oz Can of Hot Blue PVC Gorilla Glue! : Pond Filtration Tubing : Patio, Lawn & Garden

Any takers?
Count me in @sugarray . Struck out at all the local pool and spa places around here. Pm me the details.

If this doesn't work out, I've bought Hydromaxx 25' x 2" Black flexible that was shipped yesterday. I'm not sure how much I need but I would sell off sections at $3 per foot plus shipping at cost. Buying it from the exact same Dealer at Amazon but glue is not included. I feel confident the 2" will supply as much air as the existing factory duct but I'm not guaranteeing anything. Just giving you an option.

I sure appreciate the offer, thank you.

I am a little leary going from 2 3/4", which I believe factory is, to 2" on intake. I couldn't find the discussion regarding 2" vs stock and does it allow enough air.

Other things to consider:

(2) 44mm throttle bodies is 4.71 sq. in.

(1) 2" Pipe Sch 40 = 3.36 sq. in.
(1) 2.5" Pipe Sch 40 = 4.79 sq. in.
(1) 3" Pipe Sch 40 = 5.46 sq. in.

Pretty sure the stock under hood opening is about 6.27 sq. in.

I found this formula for volume of flow through a straight pipe. When comparing stock to 2" and 3", you cut your flow nearly in half when using 2". Something to think about when using 2" tubing. 51932718413 BD6D9FD7 EBE4 482C A26A E102C3FE00D3

Ok, so at 2.5", that would be 3.41 cubic ft/sec which is 1.56x more volume than 2". Magnify that as rpms increase.

My install has held up fine. Checked the connection at the airbox several times and have yet to have it move or slip. I marked it to check. Been in water to my waist without any problems.
