“Clutch’s Basket” build

Build a plate to stop rocks from the duals or blowouts. I lost an inside rear and it took out my s***ter tank. What a giant pain!

That was in the cards, noticed right away. At the rear will be a piece of steel bolted to the floor that covers it and I’ll glue rubber floor mat over to stop the rock noise.

I did not realize that regular PVC/CPVC glue would work for that!

If both pieces sit flush then use MEK . There is no pressure here so after being primed she’ll hold. Hell im pretty sure Gorilla glue would be fine.

They do make a glue and primer for ABS/Poly (I think that's what the tank is made of)

And NOTHING will spoil ya like a built in black tank flusher - I hate having to stick a wand down the toilet to clean the tank.

Going slower then wanted but figuring things out. One thing at a time then eBay then back at it.

Pretty busy today. The fridge I got with the camper was larger then the one we bought so wife says let’s use it. Took some time but got it going.
Spent the rest of the day getting propane into the van. I didn’t like the setup on the bus being hard mounted like a motorhome so went with bottles this time. Easier to fill in a pinch. New access door arrived (the trim will be painted black to match others coming) so it’s all plumbed in sealed and solid.

Worthy note for people looking for a fridge.
Learned a lot about 3-way fridges lately. I’ve known as long as they don’t smell like ammonia they are usually ok. But also look for yellow residue as well.
My igniter was bad,I could tell because it kept clicking but would not light (far right in pic) so I scratched up the metal it was sparking to and cleaned it up and it lit. Used compressed gas on the flue and cleaned a bit. Everything works well now, back in business.
Also sometimes tipping it on its side for a half hour per side sometimes loosens particulate inside if nothing else.

Yes it’s tight. Making sure anything added has full access and trying to keep in mind anything that is added later. Now looking like sink will be under front forward facing window (the wife likes that better anyways) and finding new home for the fridge to better ventilate it

Fridge has been for food only. Pelican is for beer! Ang is sick of having food in the cooler so it’s priority.

Thank you it’s going to be just what was needed for us. Wish I had more time and money but I know we’re all like that.
