“Clutch’s Basket” build

She's has had just a few miles running on four. You go and start to try and convince her to run on two at her age and I'm afraid that the different stress could cause a new issue to flare up and we all know about you and issues @CumminsPusher!!!!

Running on a single for a few miles to make it home is one thing but up in the middle of nowhere aka St. Maries, Id. you might not have a very good attitude while you wait for a few days for a couple of bearings or whatever, is brought in!

I completely agree, until you pull the rear hubs and visually see the bearing condition it’s a roll of the dice

But if you were to see that they looked virgin and wanted to make a weekend trip to Xmas, you might be ok.

P.s. had to make the kids scrub twice in the shower, they were so black and dirty

Ok well thanks guys. Sometimes a guy just needs friends to keep everything going right. I know I could run on insides only but she’d be tippy. These damn tires are spendy, but like I just told Ang they’ll be the last set needed for the RV. 14ply we’d never have another issue and the rig just proved it’s worthy, just sucks to spend double on tires of purchase price. 2 more tires coming...

I hear you on cost but the cost of not doing it is much harder to swallow if something went wrong. Glad to hear we talked you into something good.

I did have the tire guy bring me a couple beers with the tires. Fighting that damn tire for 3 hours I was completely sober leaving so no worries!

That’s actually kinda cool. I would like to build the toyhauler door/ramp for it then use the awning cover like some have down the road.

That would be cool, if you did the ramp and Awning and if someone want to go to bed you could just roll the door shut stay on the porch best of both worlds and you wouldn't half to change back door unless you wanted to get rid of track in side .

Finally...
2 new tires on the way. Will have all 6! Much cheaper on eBay but I knew they would be. Unfortunately the last 2 batches of 2 I didn’t have this choice.
This is what the rest of the rig is running. They did get pretty good reviews. 6 new balanced tires...can’t wait!

And today the Clutch Basket got a couple presents. Ran across glass at our local Pull n Save. 5 windows, two different sizes for $80! All the glass that cheap is awesome. Also picked up a large water proof storage box for 7$. Not sure yet where that’s going but couldn’t resist.
This rig has proved to me it’s worthy of a toy hauler.
