Getting some goods!
Rv crap on eBay has gone up in price since I finished the bus a few years back because of those damn tiny houses. Craigslist has only old pos camper doors.
Had to resort to scrounging. Called all the local Rv repair shops in town. Found one with used slightly damaged doors. Like almost all specialty shops people just replace not repair. Get there and they said $20. Hell for that I said give me two! I’ll use one for the bathroom, why not?Making up quickly for those tires I hadn’t planned on.:)

Nothing that a little bit of paint can't fix!

We can now get in! Be a lot easier for those late night bathroom breaks!
Eventually it’ll have a power step like I did in the bus but good enough for now. Picked this one up for 50$ do not too bad.

Raised the windows up high enough no one can really see in

Kicking back thinking about where everything is going to go and what’s needed down the road. There’s nothing like building what you need. Built not bought has always been us, I like it that way, don’t copy anything. We’re talking about 10 year’s ago when we were planning out the building of the bus for our family when it was nothing but dirt bikes. Things have changed. Needs and wants have gone down so much since then and simplicity has proved the best.

More excited about this build then most anything lately. It’s about getting out cheaply and easy for our future. Going from 40ft to 14.5ft is weird but what’s needed to get out more. Like the bus it needs to take abuse without worry and not spend time cleaning. Easy maintenance and upkeep. This one won’t be something you pull up and everyone ogles but it’ll be perfect for the trip. So excited it’s coming along fast and other then the unexpected tires is actually going to be cheaper then planned.

You may want to consider installing a portable on demand hot water shower system. Either inside or out...

Three things on the way from last nights talk
The bus has a 30k heater that is much overkill so we decided for this space a 10k will be plenty. It’s thermostatically controllable and I will run a dual computer fan setup (one for fresh air outside and one to circulate) like the bus. It works well and very efficient.

After @100Acre comment about him looking in our windows lol we went back out and only one within reason that could be looked in would be the entry door when we change it to tinted glass to match so problem fixed. Ordered up a tinted window with shade.

Entry changed an additional foot from the bus no big deal but safety handle this time.

Already have it. Bought it last year for 50$ just waiting for propane. Remember last year I was saying how efficient these are. We’ve had one in the bus since our water tank blew up first year. Soooo much better then tank. No waiting for water to warm up, no waisted energy keeping water warm, no damn pilot light! Open up the valve and instant hot water. Endless hot water if a stream is near by.
We will have hot water for the sinks and an outdoor shower if needed.

Got the refrigerator! That and the awning are the big ticket items. $250 is a good price for a 3way. He just gave us the stainless kitchen sink so another item off the list!

So much more fun building then fixing and she’s out giving me a hand and pushing, so my honey do list is a fun one!

I don't jack about rv setup. Do you half to insulate that

Sent from my SM-G930U using Tapatalk
Yes for sure. Foam insulation glued to the sides and roof with panelling glued over. Already priced all that at about 200$ including glue.
Ang picked this panelling for the walls so far but we’re going to look around. Got to be easy clean up and take abuse but also be lightweight.
